Interested in a composition focused collaborator
I'm currently working on a 'creative development' document, exploring the extended harmonic potential of an instrument I've customised for the task as well as standard electric basses. I've attached the introductory discussion from the document to this post.
I use the styles being developed here myself in performance within iOS music. I've finished most of the analysis and am progressing onto experimenting with the info.
I'm currently at a stage where I'm thinking more analytically and technically in regards to application in performance, so I think it would be interesting to see what would happen if someone came at it from a purely creative perspective. I think it could give some interesting results.

this looks interesting. Since some years I started to study music theory, tuning, and compostition, in a much more serious way, but haven't advanced much in applying this to real compositions yet; it's too early for me. Therefore, sadly, I'm not qualified enough for a collaboration.
I'm interested in the final document though, especially the tuning chapters.
Cool, thanks. If there is interest then I can let the document out. I've done a lot of work into tuning/temperament actually as it's the source of everything. I've even gone into detail to nitpick the '432hz' stuff that's becoming more popular these days (it's a ton of bollocks in the form it's spoon fed to us, but valid and actually fascinating in a theoretical sense when you strip away the marketing rubbish and do the maths yourself).
If you do fancy having a play with the source material then don't worry about 'professional level', just grab the spreadsheets and a midi sequencer and go. I've been working on a demonstration of reverse engineering the theory into composition, but every time I go to record something I end up just playing the instrument over an iOS loop and playing with parameters for hours until it's late.. (I'm a performer firstly!!). Probably post something sometime when I'm in the mood for playing with cameras and synching audio..

to get side-tracked in a session happens just too easy, although I wanted to pursue a certain idea with tonality. And there are also technical problems to solve, which are often more difficult than I expected.
At least I know now why some things work or don't work. And yes, there's a lot of talk about theory that is not really relevant.
Thank you for your documents, I'll try to implement them in music. Only then I will be able to understand what you did.
Haha, it's ok for me as I mainly use iOS music for performance and recording isn't my priority. For me the side track is the tonality itself, which I can tweak infinitely!
