And STROM, of course: They seem to be really pushing the Elektron hardware to go with it though.
Wow... This IS great!

Good grief, who knew Strom was that good? That Flex mode...![:o :o](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/open_mouth.png)
Strom is the craziest app I've seen in a while. First of all, I haven't seen such a vivid color scheme since the title credits of Gaspar Noe's film "Into the Void." (Seriously, not for epileptics. And the movie is nothing like the credits, either!)
Second, "Strom." You named your crazy sound tool after one of the most notorious racists ever to spend time in the House of Representatives. Interesting.
Finally, you can only import 10 seconds.
That racist bastard spent DECADES in the Senate. I had always planned on handing out balloons and candy outside of his longed-for funeral, but I moved out of SC before his long overdue death.
Mr Thurman loved the bass
SPITS COFFEE, CHORTLES LOUDLY; REST OF OFFICE SLOWLY TURNS MY WAY
EDIT: Funny cos it's true.
Still no standout king of the iOS samplers?
I love Beat Machine for simple pad sampling. Surprised that I didn't see it discussed here. Does all the basics with ease plus has some nice editing (all I need in combination with AudioShare) .. and I heard a rumour..
Also what about Nanostudio's sampler? Can it be used in a 'stand alone' manner?
No commercial interest in one, if there was, it would exist, UVI and NI are both in the app game, neither of them are doing it (NI dont even have in house developers for IOS)
OP. Brilliant post.. Sums it up exactly..
There's still Caustic. A drum module, a PCM synth, and a sample editor. And all those great video tutorials. Still only ten bucks.
If only 3.2 would be released...
FWIW, I got Beathawk recently and it works really nicely. Great workflow, and very fast to get chopping. iMPC looks good too.

Thanks for reminding me about this app, fun!
Sure. You can run up to 15 of them and just use the app as a standalone multitumbral sound module. Since ios9, you can't sample into it directly via Audiobus. Have to either sample directly from hardware or copy/paste or open in.
I'm doing most of my sampling with Cubasis.

Sure it's a bit limited when it comes to synthesis but for pure sampling it works very well.
