Synthmaster, Alchemy and Gadget are against the rules... how about a nice warm Shoom in there? Uh? Shoom? Uuuh?

Sure man! I love your presets!

While I don't have much 'formal' practice with synths I really find Shoom just magically works for me. Something about the layout and my random lizard brain knob twiddling just seem to magically sync up.

Argon? Please explain what you like about it. Not knocking it, just didn't blow me away but maybe I missed something.

  • Top 5 so far:

  • No Audulus? I’m surprised.

  • :) I like your British humour @u04 .I didnt put Magellan in My list because of the expensive IAP otherwise it would be in the top 3. The magellan' s touchpads are the Best .Nave and Sunrizer let me cold .One of the Moog Will Win i guess ;)

      2.iSem. cream
    2. Magellan ..no Sunrizer...no Magellan?...no Sunrizer...Magellan
    3. Animoog. Gotta be there.
    4. A tie between Synth X , TC11, Morphwiz, SpaceVibe and Bebot : apps which all sound great, push the boundaries of what it actually means to "play" a synth ; and utilise the iPad screen as a HID ( human interface device ) in a new and exciting manner.
    5. I love iVCS 3 as well ......

I'm going by synths I've actually used in recordings. So honorable mention to Minisynth II and TF7, which I plan on using in the future. Also Chicago and Chaing Mai in Gadget ...

Do you want relist as your top two don't count in their romplers form on iOS. I've discounted any 'player' or 'romplers synths, as that opens up to too many sample playback synths.

    Sure thing:

    Chicago
    Chang Mai
    Addictive Synth
    FM4
    Mersenne

  • No Thor? Interesting

Ya, I guess I should have prefaced my list by saying these are not the best sounding but most used. I know argon and bebot aren't exactly synth powerhouses but a lot of times I will create an interesting burble or note quickly and sample and into load into samplr. Then play polyphonic in there. My own working quirk....

Yes. I personally would love Thor, but it has never worked properly on my iPad.

  • Oops! my list is a bit of a dogs breakfast with two #2 s etc.
    Try again.
    1. Model 15
    2. Magellan
    3. ISem
    4. Animoog
    5. TC_11 et al

IProphet I like also but it crashes other apps ( eg Patterning) when loaded into Aum and therefore is disqualified for poor form.
