@Hypertonal an impressively ambitious app you've made.
In case you didn't know , the Audiobus SDK includes basic IAA & Link functionality ,
& there is a developers forum on this site .
I'm intrigued by this app
The synth in the lite version sounds extremely good
Is there a song mode? As in chaining patterns?
Yuck, that doesn't sound good
Great to hear, congrats on the release and welcome to the forum! Plenty of zeroes and ones help over in the developer forum.
These issues were fixed in the latest update.
The pianoroll&control sequencer is not pattern-based but similar to the sequencer in logic, cubase etc..
where track time begins at zero and continues to "almost infinity". Pattern-like sequencing
can be done either by loop/copy/paste or using vector sequence generators in very fixed way.
More automation/control targets for sequence generators will be added soon.
In theory, with all piano roll tracks and all sequence generators running there can be 46 tracks playing simultaneously.
with tempo changes?
Yes. tempo can be automated too.
cool, thank you.
Very nice, thanks
I added another video of my ramblings with it, showing more of the sampling side and shallow use of the matrix (markov chain) sequencer. More to come...
IMHO the best thing any developer can do is do use-case and demo videos. Especially if your app does something different or differently. So bravo and kudos to you @Hypertonal
yes thank you for the videos
what are all of the import and export options?
Pardon me, but why these type of threads are so loosy punctuated? Isit by intention to put a garbage of dots and letters?
Dhalang observations and clarifications:
do you have to go back to a certain screen/tab to start the sequencer or is there a play /stop button on every tab so that you don't have to keep going back and forth?
does dhalang have a separate volume control for it's browser and sample audition (like audioshare)?
does dhalang have sample truncation and does it allow import from iTunes library?
Jon Rawlison's demo of this is sick. This app is a sound designer/avant grade composer's wet dream. Not ready to pull the trigger, but, definitely on my wish list!
is that pants of death?
for those of you who've gotten the app how is the stability?
Yep, his video is on discchord (you probably saw): http://discchord.com/blog/2016/9/20/dhalang-mg-demo.html
Seems solid. It's quite a deep self contained laboratory.
Yes, and Dropbox only
are you kidding, not even pasteboard copy paste outta audioshare into dhalang?
Dropbox only
wow, unbelievably sad
Gematria on the Audiobus.. I luv it.. this is truly the forum of the G-DS!!
Kinda has the "FL Studio" look to it, eh?
I think this app looks great, can't even fathom why there would be no audio copy/paste, audioshare import export etc...
I don't even use dropbox. I will hope for more import /export options.
Maybe because it is a straight transcode from another platform with not much of a research prior to release.
Yep. Another good idea, self crippled by lack of connectivity.
