  • Auria and Auria Pro aren't fully compatible yet with iOS 10. An update should be coming soon.

Important: Before updating to iOS 10

Thanks Samu, that all sounds good to me. I don't use the phone for music, mostly art and photo apps, and use it as a phone (!), internet and camera mostly. It'd be nice to be able to run newer apps, so I'll have to seriously consider this.

Then you will love it. The 'Photo Extensions' alone make it all worth it...
(My favourites here are, Lucid, Pixelmator, Camera+ and PixArt for the 'extensions' other apps are Manual (fully manual camera app), SnapSeed, VSCO, CameraBag, Filterstorm Neue(resizing etc.) and Aviary soon to be deleted due to much AdobeID Spam inside the app). All those work nice under iOS10 too...

4" is nice size but my eyesight is not getting better and the 16GB thankfully restricts my urge to install everything on a phone :D

Shame they didn't start testing earlier.

Is this alchemy for IOS ? I know there was a Mac version but never heard available for Ipad. Any link to App store?

It got pulled after apple bought the camels, was a bit like alchemy player for mac/pc, you could load the desktop libraries into it, I don't think it had the spectral engine though.

Ahhhhhh.....I didn't know about those! I've got a ton of art/photo apps, but the extension option is very cool. The update would also let me run Prisma, which I only have on the iPad at the mo as I can't run it on the phone.

    Good stuff.

  • Did anyone notice the update freed up about 1G of storage?

  • Gadget seems to need an update. Playing back a song and the playhead was choppy and the screen eventually froze although it kept playing. No other problems so far in my brief testing. BeatHawk seems OK. haven't tried much else.

  • I'll stay on iOS 9 for a while, since the iPad is my main workhorse now.

Shame they didn't start testing earlier. And didn't warn customers about updating.

  • It's never a good advice to go for big IOS updates as pioneers. There are always issues and devs take their time to react. Let's see this time with Korg...

  • I go for the updates because I don't try to depend on iOS anyway..it's one big experimental playground -- plus I haven't seen anything as unreliable as IAA in quite some time so I figured a new iOS couldn't be much worse :)

  • They fixed the no animation bug :/ Makes the phone feel slow as fuck after getting used to it..

You can switch most of those off: General --> Accessibility --> Reduce Motion --> ON

  • Anyone having any issues with Audiobus specific to iOS 10?

What is this bug you are talking about?

After re-booting my iPad (Air 1) Gadget plays back OK. Haven't seen any other issues yet.

It was for pre 9.3 versions. They fixed it long time ago as a memory leak bug.
I strongly believe they didn't want older devices go faster.

  • My phone notified me where I had parked my car this morning and put a marker on the map. All hail iOS 10, never having to remember anything again!

  • Sorry if this question was asked already. Does the new update include any audio or music improvements (other than the updated GB?).

I use my iPad for music (Cubasis, Gadget, synths) and now mostly for school (Onenote, Adobe reader and digital editions). So it's my main computing device.

  • The only two things I don't like so far: the Control Center on my iPad Pro 12.9 could fit on a single screen easily, without having to scroll, there's so much wasted space.

Split view has changed for the worst, now it doesn't matter how many times you force an app to quit from the multitasking view, the last app you used will keep opening up the next time you use split view it doesn't matter if it's not the app you want, on iOS 9 after closing both apps you just had to launch the app again and then force quit from the multitasking view to reset split view.

That doesent do the same thing. Im talking about like animations when you opened/closed apps or folders etc

  • Updated to iOS 10.0.1 on iPad Air 2

So far only problems have been with Auria. I am having to completely reload the app from its LE background.

My iPad now works faster in many areas. Internet use is so much faster at this time.

  • Air 1 feedback anyone?

    Update:

Auria Pro out of action with IAA (already was aware of this).
Some opening animation needs sorting (Cubasis and DRC so far).
iPolysix still showing as in operation in AUM even after a restart (so possible issue there with iPolysix).

iOS now works out storage in a different way, so while it looks like I've gained space, I actually have not ;)

Hmm...Everyone here speaks about issues, but is there any improvement with making music ?
Are apps more stable ? (like 10 apps running at the same time ?) less audio glitches ? less midi glitches ? anything that would improve user experience doing music ? Faster something ? CPU or Ram optimisation bench available somewhere compared to 9.x ?

I've updated my iphone 5 without any problems, but I won't update my ipads pro 12' for now...Surely later...

  • Won't update my Mini 2 until I'm absolutely forced to (read: my essential apps will work only under iOS 10...).... I kinda hope this is never gonna happen.... wishful thinking... I'm just tired of upgrading, installing updates and updates again, and just when the glitches and wrinkles of the current iOS are finally ironed out, the new version is released and brings on the bugs. ...

  • Nice to have two relatively new devices for a change that I can both update with confidence (iPhone 6s & Pro 12.9"). I dragged my poor iPad2 through probably 2 or 3 OS updates too many - it hasn't really been comfortable since it left iOS7...but if you want to keep up with iOS music, you aren't left with much choice.

Really wish there was a way to revert back to older iOS version (besides jailbreaking), especially if it detects an older model.

According to the Audiobus update that drop this morning it's the smoothest update beetween iOS versions and it feels like it. I've been making music on it since beta 5. Overall pretty pleased with the results. Both iPad Pro models and iPhone 6.

  • Haven't risked it on the ipad yet, but oh the joy of being able to get rid of stocks, news, maps etc

  • In my opinion, the best iOS update ever. Have no problems whatsoever with any music apps (iPad Air, iPhone 5s, iPod 6g, even on my old iPhone 4s (JK ;) it's out of iOS 10 already))
