  • No problems at all on my air2

  • edited November 2016

Not app related, but experiencing the orientation bug since updating - iPad screen sometimes gets stuck in portrait mode and won't rotate until I reboot.

  • I made the update and no problems so far. I work with an Alesis IO Dock and still remains solidly compatible.

  • I'm wondering if music apps which are compatible with ios 8 and higher will also work using ios10. Can anyone please confirm if the apesoft apps (idensity, ipulsaret) are working and borderlands? I can't find any other source on the internet to check.

Its a bit strange reading most of this thread and nobody have found an app that doesn't work with ios 10. Is this really one of the best ios updates with only minor issues that are not app related ?

  • @AlexB. What device are you using?

    Ipad air 1

Two devices both with 2 alesis. Ipad Air 1 and 2. The IO Docks are from 1st generation (30 pin) but with the Apple adapter works well.

mmmh...i shouldn't wait much longer in this case.Any known problems with other audio interfaces eventually?

I REALLY hope that the update will also clear this mess with my occupied space.Over 20GB blocked by temp files and whatdoiknow crap

I think i take the risk tomorrow and just see what it brings (or not) :).

That huge chunk of space you are talking about, aint that just the samples you imported using audioshare or audiocopy. I dont have this issue using ios 8.4 and mostly clean all the old samples im not using anymore.

  • Thanks for the response @ AlexB. That gives me some confidence. I have the same setup with the Air2. Still on iOS 9. I assume you have a similar piece of folded cardboard underneath the iPad to keep it from moving around.

  • I wish I'd stayed on 9, this orientation bug is driving me nuts. Just booted up this morning and it's stuck in landscape mode.

It's fixed on iOS 10.2 current public beta. At least I think we are talking about the same orientation weirdnes, my iPad Pro 12.9 virtual keyboard showed up in the wrong orientation while on spotlight and other weird minor things also happened (orientation getting stuck, etc) but unlike you I never had to reboot

Yeah, seems to randomly stick in either portrait or landscape mode. Sometimes it clears itself, other times it needs a hard reset. A real pain in the bottom but good to hear there's a fix on the cards.

  • Just updated. Everything works fine on the air 1. Cubasis, magellan, borderlands, samplr, beathawk, ipulsaret, idensity, sunrizer, thumbjam, sector, drumjam, mitosynth, strng, blocs wave, soundprism, gestrument etc. :)

mmmh....that was a good tip, thanksI forgot audioshare which is 17 gb big but since it stores the files not in the app anymore but in the document picker section of ios....it should look like this then.still a few gb missing but the bigger mystery seems solved.

  • Hi, guys.

I thought that idevices download the iOS10 update automatically when charging and when they have room enough but, this afternoon I realized that my iPhone 5s ahs downloaded the 1,2 Gb update file when no charging and connected wireless. So I switched to 1,2 Gb free to zero. Thanks, Apple.

Did I missed something or this is a new step ahead from Apple to forced us to update? Thanks.

  • I mean, even if you have room enough and you can delete the update file later, Apple is stealing banwith that we are using for elsewhere.

It probably downloaded the update at night or something akin to that. Never had an update downloaded randomly in the middle of the day.
I don't think the device being connected to power it's a requirement, never has been if I recall correctly. A few days ago I downloaded the latest beta with 10% battery life. That being said, It won't let you actually go ahead an update the device until it passes 50% charge I think.

Why haven't you update?. It's probably the smoothest iOS transition ever.

I'm not worried about updating. It's the way Apple forces me to do it what make me to delay the inevitable.

And when iOS11 cames out, the history will start again. Until I buy a better iPhone (actually, mine is a gift from my brother in law).

    Thanks.
