it looks like they plan to release a pack each month
The Auxy squad is planning to release a new sound pack “about once a month,” sort of like how a record label puts out its new releases. The packs will be priced at $5 (wired)
Is there a way of auditioning the sounds? It seems awkward but the only way I can do this is to set a few notes and then switch between the sounds. Not very efficient, unless I've missed something?
Nope. You're absolutely right. Send them an email.
Not super dope but a start. The sound quality is decent at least.
This is the same case as SampleTank.
If you delete the app and you try to reinstall it on not 64 bit device you're not able to download a 32 bits version of the app. Well done.
So I have to use it only on my iPhone 5S.
I ended getting this pack and using it for a bit earlier today. I was initially baffled that they were doing a piano pack for their first one, just seemed out of place given the other sounds in there aleady. But they aren't your standard clean grand piano type sounds, most have quite a few effects on them and some unique tones. Overall it's a lot more useful than I expected. Still a little bit pricey for only 10 sounds.
Agree.
This was my most recent iOS purchase, last week. Great samples and makes Auxy 10x more useful than with the just built in synth sounds. Seems like a small offering on paper but considering the most likely use cases of Auxy, having these samples is really a significant boost to its usefulness.
Skipping the 02 pack of more synth sounds though.
For the record that no one's keeping, I found 02 to be a waste to be completely frank, but, as noted, happy enough to have bought 01
Arghhh. This app could be really good, if it allowed sample import and had some connectivity.....and a serious selection of IAP packs.
Agreed (well, it already is really good, just limiting!)
Big one for me is background audio (followed by IAA/AB). Auxy is a perfect 'Linked' mobile companion for Blocs wave, but having Auxy stop and have to be restarted each time you switch to Blocs is a real pain and limits creative possibility. Why include Link if you can't swap between apps?
I'm actually not too concerned about sample import or MIDI in/out in my own personal use case, as I primarily use it for a mobile composition sandbox to empty into Modstep later (so the sounds are only placeholders). I'd love to combine it with Blocs wave or ThumbJam though, and be able to record into AUM on the go.

Great ideas, Oscar. I'd buy that IAP.
