______________ app deserves more love.

Addictive Pro from Virsyn.

I sort of glazed over this app initially when I bought it. I primarily use Animoog as my everyday synth for all projects and occasions. So, key to me is a complimentary synth for "lighter" sounds and rhythmic functionality. Addictive Pro sure does it. And it has LINK. The price is more than fair.

Unlike the first Addictive, I find I get a more meaty 90's type lead with this version. I never was able to get a warm and powerful saw sound out of the first Addictive, with the Pro it is a breeze. Even in the FM range I find Addictive just like it's predecessor- awesome and clean.

The XY action and the ARP 2.0 (Fugue style) features are amazing. I wish all synths had these actually. Easy on the eyes and realistically can be tweaked during a performance. I like an app that is more go than show.

I reality, the F/x suite on apps like this are greater than some of the entire Fx apps available as stand alone apps.

This Addictive Pro is turning into a real workhorse for me. I just wanted to spread some love and put it out there. I haven't tried getting my old presets from the previous Addictive, but, I understand it is easy.

What are you using that you feel doesn't get enough love and would like people to know about?

Trying stay ALL positive if possible.

    I know.

    But..............I dunno.

They never even fixed the Audiobus control tab from when it was first released.

Cakewalk is still going strong on PC stuff, don't get why they don't give IOS more love.

  • iSpark. I really like the interface and the sound.

  • edited November 2016

@Tritonman yes a thousand times. Except the gadget part, I'd rather see it become its own thing with lots more stuff

  • Independent developer's...

The big guys are doing just fine.

    It's all about the $$$.

  • Audioshare.. The single most important app Ever. I still don't understand the lack of appreciation for it.

  • Nanostudio.

  • Arctic Prosynth
    Beat-Machine
    SynthQ
    Enkl

  • WerkBench
    Physynth
    Yellofier

  • Tabletop - deserves more love from it's developers

  • WR6000 (WEJAAM) if you are in techno , minimal , deep house or electro .We can't import samples in it ( I think that's why nobody loves it + expensive IAP) but you can't trust me you can produce millions tracks with his excellent randomizer , sequencer and effects !

Scary it is like you are inside my brain.

I did a bunch of SynthQ presets for him.

Most people don't know about that freakshow of a modular synth (semi I guess)

It is dub/trap killa for the crazy modulation potential on there.

ENKL all day. I still use the full app because I like the interface. Amazing app.

ArticPro Classic -- they told me they have something new about to hit in near future.

Beat Machine......... just don't feel it.

    Care to elaborate?

  • MIDIsteps and MIDI LFOs by art kerns, especially the latter. They get high praise from those who use them, but I feel like enough people don't have them.

  • Tin Pan Rhythm. You could record an entire album with nothing more than Tin Pan, perhaps separate guitar, bass and/or synth tracks, and vocals, mixed down in Auria/Cubasis, etc.

Agreed. Certainly a very good (and simple to use) thing for those of us who struggle with the discipline of, you know, writing a song, beyond just that great sound or those cool sixteen bars....

  • Imaschine 2! I start everything in there first and then build around it. The sounds are awesome. I hope one day NI ports more of their desktop stuff to ios or just create completely new things.

  • I like it also but for some horrible reason when I'm using it in a midi track in cubasis2 it closes down on me after a few minutes of not messing with it or plainly taking a small break! This is beyond frustrating. I put it aside for just that reason. Anyone have any feedback or workaround about this???

Yep like water. All my samples live in it.
Caustic 3 doesnt seem to get much love here.
And Beat Machine is just fucking cool and useful. Could use a better sequencer.

The interface is archaic. I'm gonna fix it I swear... My friend said he would design a new interface for it but Xcode made him lose his mind :(

  • iDensity
    Zed Synth
    Neo Soul Keys

  • DXi. Lightweight, flexible, powerful 4-op FM Synth. Many people are turned off by its interface - which curiously I love, because it shows each envelope's action as the sound progresses - and its preset management, which indeed could improve.

Oh, and they have it online in case you want to test drive it: http://www.taktech.org/takm/WebFMSynth/
