  • All of these sales... and likely more to come. Jeez, I'm running out of room. We're gonna need a bigger boat. ;)

Moog apps half price! model 15 ($14.99)and filtatron ($2.99)

Wow. I have Filtatron & Animoog, for awhile now, but just never got passed the steep entry into Model 15. Is it THAT cool & must have? Is it a bit like iVCS3 where the complexity is a bit distracting?

I love making patches but for this, it's like because its Moog. I know the sound will be badass & get the hang of it, but I have Animoog, iMini from Aurturia and many of the tons of other synth apps have feature "Moog like" presets. Is the 15 really offering much more than those provide?

    Thanks gang...

Model 15 is great sounding but totaly hogs my Air1 cpu to the point I have not been able to really use it well with other apps.

Yeah pretty hefty usage on my Air 2 as well, but I guess that's the price for the better sound quality it pumps out.

Model 15 is the best sounding, looking and functioning iOS synth I've used. That's my opinion but I'm sure it's shared with many others. It is also a great learning tool for modular synthesis.
So if that is something that interests you, I'd recommend it. I don't know that you can get this type of quality software on iOS for a better price.
It can take longer to get a patch going from scratch obviously and especially if you are new to modular synthesis, but if you are a beginner and are willing to learn it's well worth it.
All of that being said, it is not the synth app that gets the most use from me, but I am very happy it is on my ipad, it needs to be on there.

Anyone know how much the add-On Features in LaunchPad usually are? like, it says they are on 50% sale, but I don't remember what the regular price was? Flanger is 1.99, Audio Import is 3.99, Stutter is .99.

For those that have some or all of them, what are yer fav. FX? Thanks a bunch!

They are on 50% sale (or as close as is allowed by the app store)

The Audio Import is definitely worth it if you are making your own loops or want to use stuff from BW in LP.
I use MIDI Sync Output all the time to sync to Circuit. (You can use Link and Midi Sync Link to do this also but without remote start stop of the synced device)
In terms of FX they are all great sounding FX, and having them all is worthwhile as when you unlock the already included ones you can then select which channels are affected by them as well as tweak their settings.
When doing dub I use the stutter, delay and stop FX a lot. I don't use the automated filters a lot but I do still use them.
Flanger is an additional FX which is why it is a little more than the others.

I agree with this and the 15, but even more so as regards the droids we're looking for; ones that need to be on there...

Awesome! Thank you Andy for that run down of the FX, I appreciate it! I'm not sure if I would have any loops to import or not, I haven't made any that I can think of.... Like, could I use something like this if I created a loop in Loopy, or any of the other loop/looper/loopin apps available on ios? I've got like 10 of them I think, lol....... I think I'll get the loop import, and a few of the fx. I don't do much of anything concrete with Novation, but it's so damn fun to play around with. I love it.

Totaly. I just wish i could run a nice Link enabled sequencer and Blocs with it at the same time.

As long as you can export audio from those apps then you can use the audio import to get them into LP if you want to add the FX, or just have them alongside the other stuff thats already in LP and trigger them from the pads, or get them all together from the 10 or so apps you have into one place......otherwise you could leave them in loopy etc and use Link to keep them running in time, but you will have to app switch when you want to trigger from each.

I am trying to put about an hour set together using LP and Circuit, I keep telling myself that I must practice what I have done to get the performance sorted, but it is very difficult to stay focused on that as I just end up creating more and more instead of practicing what I've already done LOL

I'm surprised Korg haven't joined the party yet

They are usually 'spot on' with the timing so I would expect them to do something on Friday.

Second that. Probably we'll also see a 24 hours discount of Korg Odyssei. pricetag probably 14.99

btw this thread just reached more than 10K views and Black Friday hasnt even started yet. :) :) :)

  • Drum session was put on hold it seems. Time to go shopping after all.

Interesting overview. But looks complete. But I got the idea I saw so much more passing by overhere. Dazzle :)
Think this is the most comprehensive overview I have seen so far. So thx for the link!

Oh, okay, one more. OMD - Bunker Soldiers, live in 1981

Wow. So good! That record is definitely in the 'life changing' column for me but now I wish the record had the live version of Bunker Soldiers instead. The recording loses pretty much all of the punk rock.

  • Jam Maestro is on sale at $5.99
Jam Maestro - guitar pro tab sequencer by David Blake

  • That moment when a thread about deeply discounted apps becomes the most expensive thread in history.

  • Couple more I didn't see mentioned so far:

    Arpeggionome for iPhone ($4.99 → $0.99)
    Arpeggionome Pro ($9.99 → $4.99)

Seems like kind of one trick? But then again, who wouldn't pay $4.99 for a nice trick to start at least one good song?

  • How hard it has been to refrain from spending on Model 15 for all this time, 11 quid & I could no longer resist. What...a....mahoosive......sound :p That's the first app that's produced quite such a tingle on its way from the speaker cones to my ears.

I've resisted for so long. I'm not really a "modular" person... mostly because I don't understand it very well. But, I figured I'd eventually get Model 15 if it ever went on sale... if only to see what all the hype was about.

I'm very pleasantly surprised and am diggin' it way more than I thought I would. I haven't tried to run more than 3 apps at once with it yet, but my Air2 seems to be hanging in there just fine so far.

It's awesome to start with a preset, tweak it to make it a little bit more your own, then send generative midi to it from apps like Dhalang, Xyntheizr, and I recently got Quincy too. All sound beautiful driving Model 15. :)

There is approx 200 apps in its database. Most of them is to find under 'Great Apps' :)

    Your work here is done.

  • To be fair the thread is pretty cheap, if you already own all the apps on sale.
