  • @rumorazzi If you like drones, you got to get the iVCS3 Synth. It´s a legendary, totally insane machine perfect for drones. Pink Floyd / The Who used the original back in the 70s, and the app is a truly wonderful emulation. It so well done!

    First round:

    apeDelay
    apeFilter
    AudioShare
    AUFX: Space,Dub,PeakQ,Push
    AUM
    Borderlands Granular
    Droneo
    FieldScaper
    Gadget
    iDensity
    Patterning
    Samplr
    Soundscaper

I got another 80€ that I can spend right now
    Animoog or Model 15?
    Or iVCS3?
    Or...?

  • Or maybe should I go for a DAW or anything midi related? (Sequencers, generative apps...)

    On a side note:
Which audio out is it better:
Headphones out or via lightning with the adapter included with my iPhone 7?

  • Lightning is quite dramatically better.

I would definitely go for a tool where you can arrange recordings and do sequencing. As good as AUM is it isn't ideal for keeping track of many layers (unless they start/stop at the same time) and it doesn't do midi sequencing, at all.

Just with the headphone adapter? Can you substantiate that?

Ah, sorry, no. Missed the "iphone 7" part, only read it as "which is better, lightning or headphone?". True enough, I have no experience what-so-ever of the iPhone 7 and its adapters. Can I blame sloppy reading being rushed sorting out breakfast to kids? :)

  • Did you mean audio out via lightning to USB?

    Nice round.
Would go for animoog when on sale. Also love iPulsaret. Perhaps xynthesizr. I don't know the prices of these right now but they'd be great quality additions to your excellent start imo.
(I almost always wait for sales. Can't recommend spending $40 on animoog when I got it so cheap. Even though compared to desktop prices it's still very good)

    I grabbed Cubasis 2 (it's on sale)

It is a great DAW. I actually use the built-in synths a lot more than most people realise, though they are not as good as Twin 2/One in Auria. :)

Now STOP until I sell my TB-3...

    I followed your advices:

    • Bias fx (+ 3 iap packs) and Bias amp
    • Midi guitar 2 (+ iaps)
    • Roland duo capture ex audio/midi interface

    Next stop make some music!
    ;)

  • So, what happened to Fiddlewax? Got that the developer moved on but his apps aren't on the app store, anymore. Was that part of the move? Sounds a bit sad given how useful they might be. Never got a chance to try Firo (though the Blue and Yellow apps are on my phone).

Given our similar taste, I'm curious, did you get any of the Module IAPs? Also, by Fiddle, you mean FingerFiddle? And if you like that, have you seen GuitarCapo+?

Hello man, I got all Modules iAPs (the only Korg iAPs I did not get are the iAPs for Arp OddysseI as they seem really expensive for just background color changes and a few additional presets)... And I must say that I'm loving all of them, expecially the Ivory Grand Piano which sounds so good on Gadget tracks ;-)
No, I was not trying to mention FingerFiddle to be frank (enven though I like this app)... I can't remember the name of the music app I'm thinking about and I have not my iPad near me right now (at work) sorry (it is kind of an educational app where you can compose on 4 little tracks and the interface provides a full set of chords all sounding well together, really great to test and find new chord progressions IMO...).

    Firo by fiddlewax?
Firo - Music Maker, Instrument, Drums, Chords, Looper, and MIDI Controller por Fiddlewax
    https://appsto.re/es/b2P_1.i

Exactly... Thx... I knew there was a Fiddle somewhere ;-)
It's a fantastic app when used as a controler to compose in Gadget (IMO).

How could I forget Fiddlewax! The developer has moved on, but in a real act of class he's left all the apps up for free. Fiddlewax Yellow, Fiddlewax Blue, and Fiddlewax Pro aka Firo. In my dreams the dev would get back in the game and do a universal update for Firo (the other two already are universal), and I would gladly pay much for it!

The apps might have fallen victim to The Great Apple App Store Cull. Apps that are not being actively updated are being removed from the App Store.
