The co-founder says if you own the app you'll get the 2.0 update for free. Release is expected end of May.
Still the question remains will it be optimized for newer processors so the render times will be faster. As with all video edit software there's hardly any difference in render times with older processor. An A8 (iPhone 6 and Mini 4) renders a 1080p movie nearly as fast as a a12 (iPhone Xs, Mini 5). And it's even weirder a A10X (iPad Pro 2017) renders even quite a bit faster than A12X (iPad Pro 2018)
