Hmm.. press pause instead of stop?
That's the intention.
Cheers @dwrae didnt know about expert mode.
Vocal Tune Studio is now 30% off during Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Super cool beans!! And Merry Christmas to you, @dwrae !!
Where is Vocal Tune Studio? I can see Vocal tune ($) and Vocal tune pro ($), might be a silly question.
Add an audio file, double tap on it to view vocal tune studio, free trial is available
it’s a melodyne type off pitch correction for vocals + it has a warp mode for any other type of wav files
Many thanks! I know/use Melodyne and wanted to support this developer. I would never have worked it out without your help. I do think/suggest that it should be made a bit more clearer. I was expecting it to be under the ‘special’ heading, in the list of add ins. Anyway, cheers
I’d just like to add that the ability to import multiple stems in AEM is indeed possible.
Copy stems to the iOS clipboard rather than share directly to AEM. Then, long press on an empty audio track, and AEM will automatically create the additional audio tracks required and paste the remaining stems.
I only say this cause I noticed in the past that that was a deal breaker for a couple people, that is, the impression that only one stem can be imported at a time.
Thanks! An instant buy!
Awesome! Thank you 🙌🏼 VTS is a powerful tool..
I think I have found a bug with drag & drop, the second time you drag the same audio file (even closing AEM and opening a new session) nothing happens. This is only dragging the files, it loads correctly importing from the menu.
This, so much this. @dwrae I love you man, you are doing an amazing job with this product, and you are putting in a heroic effort to engage with us here in the forum as well. But the way you are basically hiding stuff from your users who want to spend more money with you is just exasperating, mate. 😄👍
Perhaps you have already explained it here on the forum, but what on earth is your motivation in NOT putting a store button on the top menu or making IAPs immediately available in some other way?
As it will be clear by now i am not a proficient user of AEM (yet), but I wanted to check out and potentially buy the Vocal tuning IAP. I gave up after long minutes of frantic tapping, I still don't know where it is in the app*. Even if I'm just an average user, this really shouldn't happen: if I want to buy something I shouldn't be made to work extra hard for it. 😄
Rant over, and the best of luck and success to you, you really deserve it, but the way you handle IAPs just doesn' make sense to me. I'm quite confident you are missing out on additional revenue because of this. 🥴
*I have found it. I needed to make an audio track first, then import a file, and only then a message appeared. I'm standing by my take. 👍
@Ervin….What you said……Everything makes sense about this app except for the above…
I disagree entirely. When the user does not know where the functionality is, a shop button will leave the user with a purchased product without knowing where to access it (as with the original poster). This will lead to a lot of anger and bad reviews.
The only thing that makes sense is to offer a purchase at the very moment you want to use the functionality.
The app will also display how to find Vocal Tune Studio the very moment it is relevant: after importing or recording audio.
Furthermore, there is a shop button when setting an instrument or selecting a loop. Again, at the place where it is relevant.
The last thing I want is for people to purchase this without them knowing how to access them.
Perhaps, it would be helpful to have a button that lists the IAPs and where they are available. What you say is logical AND some people clearly find it uncomfortable. Even if there isn’t a central shop there could be something that lists the IAPs.
Hi @dwrae, I'm a brand new user. I'm afraid that I totally agree with @Ervin. My process was as follows, I looked at the 'more' button, expecting to see a shop, only to find 'Restore purchases'. Next, moved on to the 'settings', nothing there. Frustration was setting in at this point. I was thinking, do I really have to search youtube to buy IAP for a DAW. Then I recalled pressing the 'FX grid', thinking, perhaps its all done through that section, which would be obvious, right. Under the 'Pitch' heading, I saw 'Vocal Tune' and 'Vocal tune pro', I thought for a few seconds, that it was 'Vocal tune pro', But I decided to ask on the forum. If you do not have the muscle memory of your DAW there is little hope, unless you stumble across it. From my view point. But it was totally confusing for me. Why wouldn't you put it in the same place as 'Vocal Tune' & 'Vocal tune pro' under the 'Pitch' section? or have it both places?
Add me to the list of people who couldn’t figure out how to buy the vocal tune IAP. I looked forever and eventually gave up. Not sure I understand why someone would try to use an iap they know they haven’t bought, thus finding out how to purchase. Anyway, I got a gift card for Christmas and will purchase now along with some other IAPs.
@dwrae apps like the ones from FAC have a welcome message and a slide show for some initial tips. AEM has a welcome message every time it’s loaded post update. Perhaps consider a welcome message of “essential info” or access to the manual front and center. This could inform people where the IAPs are located, stuff like that…
I really like how much thought went into how this feature is accessed. This is definitely not a typical effect or typical IAP. It deserves to have its own thing. I was a little confused at first not to see it in the IAP list of effects when I updated, but then I remembered I’d read how to get it two seconds ago when I opened the app. For me, the reason I buy different apps is because they’re different.
Thank you for this quick reply, @dwrae . Much appreciated. I understand your argument but, respectfully, I think your logic is partially flawed. I have three points in support of this statement: 🙂
In short, I think your current solution is suitable for "ad hoc" buyers who do not actively think about vocal tuning, and then get a helpful message when they are at the point where they could think about getting it. But for people like me, who actively went for it and opened AEM to check it out, it's a miss.
In any case, thank you for engaging, and please take this as constructive criticism regarding a fantastic product.
Because it's not an insert effect. It would be when it was an AUv3. It's clip-based, not track-based.
Again, you would buy Vocal Tune Studio and would still have no idea how or where to access it. Furthermore, you wouldn't have even tried it before purchase! The moment it becomes relevant, you are guided to it. That is the most fair and clear way. I certainly do not want people to buy IAP's without having tried them.
Yes same thing happened to me, found the system quite weird to find it.
It's exactly the same as you won't find VariAudio in the effects list in Cubase.
@dwrae, you are reaching legendary status on the Audiobus forum, but on here we like big shops and we cannot lie. Give us a shop and make it nice and colourful and we will happily, gradually, buy the bloody lot of it whether we ever use it or not!
That's another point. I may have to invest 2000 euro to get a graphics company make nice graphics for the shop and I will never recoup that cost.
