Undocumented removed features: hold to erase button. Replaced by this worthless bastard right here:

I'm curious as to what the 'Edit' button next to Korg logo does?!
(I've got no such 'Edit' button in my Gadget 3.0 on iPad Air 2, iOS10.2.1).

I was curious too - it's in the iPhone version, the parameters are always visible on the iPad so no button there.

Just wanted to share a truly beautiful thing. We now have the ability of exporting our Gadget Sessions as complete Ableton Live sets with proper VST and basic Midi mapping. So we can start something in Gadget and finish and polish in Live. This is just extraordinary and a killer workflow experience. Thanks Korg and Ableton for a perfect union!!

    Oh my poor battery

I noticed it caned the battery on my phone too.

I don't think these 'features' were in OPs mind when he started this thread ;)

    LULZ

I found that Lexington shut the fun down pretty quick.

I had 2 of the new Drum set, 1 of the one new, one of the other, and LEXINGTON brought things to crackling conclusion.

    More than 1 time.

Similarly, a project that used to work flawlessly in the previous version now is a crackling mess. Surprise, surprise two instances of Lexington were present.

To be honest I'd be quite happy to roll back to previous version. Nothing in this one is really making me wanna stay so far.

i'm hesitant to update on my ipad 4 for same reason ... but if one does a backup to itunes of their ipad, then updates Gadget and wants to revert, can't they delete the update, hook ipad back up to itunes and re-install the old version of Gadget? I've never done... asking for a friend

Definitely a beautiful thing, but hasn't the export-to-Ableton feature been there since 2014?

Or maybe it is improved now in some way?

When playing the keys a little rainbow colored ripple animation is emitted from the key. Not only was it ugly to look at but it probably crippled performance on my mini2.

  • Undocumented removed feature number 2 (unconfirmed): apparently you can no longer copy multiple bars by holding the + button in the piano roll. One at a time. Is this true? I only did one at a time to begin with.

  • i never remember being able to copy mulitple bars - it was always copy 1 bar, paste it somewhere, repeat

  • edited March 2017

Nope just confirmed with Gadget Le. If you held down the plus button, you could select then copy a selection of bars. Now it's one at a time. This is within the piano roll I'm talking about

hmmm, that seems more like a bug... if you long press on the little cross you can still highlight multiple bars.. but now it seems to only create the first one... i would say thats not an intentional feature removal. just a spanner in the works for now...

You're probably right about it being a bug. But at this point it's just as likely intentional.

It only did Audio export into the Sessions view before. It now exports the Midi Info as well as the VST plugins, so the Gadget Session opens in tact in Ableton. You can then elect to tweak the Korg VST's or add in other VST's to take over instrumentation.

lol it just gives you a list of things to undo. Perhaps you wanted to undo something that was not the last thing you did. Well now you can.

  • Pressing Scale off button three times reveals only the notes that are on grid. Didn't know if that one was available before

This was in previous Gadget. Just checked. Haven't updated to 3.0 yet.

Wow - I haven't upgraded yet - but just checked. Never ever knew you could copy multiple bars with that long press!!

  • Damn I wonder what other secrets Gadget holds. I thought I had found them all

  • The above allows you to choose which bars to copy and add to the end of the loop
