I love this thing. I've recorded a couple of late-70s Kraut-style tracks with it just by manipulating the gates live every now and then to spice things up. It's great to be limited by something sometimes, instead of it opening up too many doors.

Would you be willing to share? I'd love to hear how you're working with the app. Very interesting input mechanism!

Sure, here's a quickie I just did. About to expand it and work on it. I get a little finicky towards the end with it, just to demonstrate the rhythm changes. Synth is Animoog.

I like that, it's got a bit of an Ashra Tempel vibe. I should really get this app.

Haha thanks, I'll give you 3 guesses who the 'MG' in the title stands for.

Ahhh....didn't spot that! He played in London a few weeks back, I couldn't make it unfortunately.

Too bad. It's so funny seeing recent videos of him working with just a laptop and guitar. One of my all-time favs.

Yeah mine too, been into them for years and I'd love to be able to play like that. A friend went to the gig (also a big fan), and was a bit underwhelmed with some of it, and blown away by other bits. I think maybe there's a danger the laptop stuff can get a bit too repetitive.

I like a bit of Cluster too, this is a favourite:

I like that a lot. Always been predisposed to ambientness with a beat if it can be found. Course, as a general rule, you should never trust a bloke out in the countryside wearing a white suit...

It's lovely isn't it. The German 70's albums can be a bit hit and miss though - one minute it's blissful motorik ambience, seconds later they're wiggling out on scratchy violins and cement mixers.
