  • But they could communicate better. It's so easy to drop a note on this forum or on Twitter. As far as I know, it's been radio silence from them for 5 hours, when they posted it would be up in a couple of hours.

They are the ones who made the promise and they should maintain their good relationship with their customer base.

Anyway, I hope somebody will start a new thread when it does turn up on one of the stores.

  • This is why I like steinberg/cubasis: updates drop out of the blue, no anouncement or anything. They just appear and work!

  • That's it. I'm done waiting for today.

Still, a thread for the ages brethren :)

It has been an EPIC year. Has there ever been another launch like it ?

When KORG said Gadget was going to release on a specific date and then had to delay it for I think it was almost a month. That was an epic delay.

I bet the delay is from apples end, as the app has been submitted and approved for release already.

  • I'm used to waiting on Akai, so Intua is the pinnacle of communication, compared to them.

It’s tough being popular …or so I’ve been told. :)

If Intua just made a normal app that buyers could patiently wait for like adults, they could release it any time within the announced day without feeling like Santa got stuck coming down the chimney.

    @Samu
Can you map samples overlaid ?
    Example....
Single cycle saw mapped full key range
Another single cycle saw mapped full key range but fine detune -20
Another single cycle mapped saw full key range but fine detune +20
Each with its own level control (pan a bonus)
But all still through the same filter and envelopes

This is a great way to do super easy supersaws and detune trance leads and such, without having to link instruments and waste macros.

Yes, just add another layer to the pad :)
(This is the way I do 'fake PWM' two layers with saw-waves and one of them phase-inverted using the layer-effects).

But currently they have individual envelopes but the settings can be easily copied.

Good things come to those who wait. Must have been some unexpected problems but I'm confident they'll work it out

  • This looks strange to me. People going so crazy about waiting a bit (or not waiting) and just enjoying it when it is available.
Makes me nervous for future people.

    Moog as well

Aaaah sweet, the old Korg Trick, awesome.
So what individual controls does a layer have ?

    Almost everything!
The only thing that is shared between the layers is the Pad FX. Layer Effects are per layer.

This area will improve over-time to allow things linked editing of layer parameters and alternate routings so you can use the same envelope and filter for all layers among other things.

I've brainstormed this area quiet a bit with @mathieugarcia during the beta so there's a lot of goodies in the back-log if he decides to implement them :D

  • Heres some elevator music for while you're waiting

Cubasis updates usually do not work on Mac. And on iOS, they never add the most obvious improvements.

    Moog as well

@Mark B nice, that'll keep everyone relaxed until it's time

    Ok yeah that's terrible :(
So each layer has its own filter and envelopes and such.
Looking forward to this release a whole lot less now, not the powerful sampler I thought it was :(

It works insanely well already for almost everything you throw at it.
Most hardware sample based synths pass each sample/layer thru their own respective filter.

Just use Poison-202 for the SuperSaw sounds when needed ;)

Maybe Apple bought the darn thing (as they did with Camel Audio's Alchemy) and decided to gut it for GarageBand and Logic....
Maybe Mr. Intua is having Caviar and Champagne (with Ben from Camel Audio).on their yacht heading to the Islands by now...
