Did you get MIDI in to work?
I couldn't connect anything except a WIFI MIDI SEWENCER from iPad#2.
Launchkey/Launchpad Pro/LIVID MINIM all did not connect for me.
Maybe I am not getting the color of enabled vs not.
Yes midi in works great in AB3 but I did have to restart Synthscaper once when it wasn't receiving midi. It's working fine in AUM too for me. it's an IAA instrument so easy to set up in a host.
>
Errr, how do you do that?
You just put it in the midi receiver slot. Then try an app like Fugue machine or any sender. Make sure the Audiobus panel has come up in Synthscaper so that it is loaded in AB properly.
edit: I am on the latest AB3 beta but I don't think that should make a difference.
Hmmm not compatible then?
I have an Air 1 and it shows up for purchase. Not sure if I will pull the trigger yet.

Tried that, and have Fugue Machine in top slot, all play heads managed by AudioBus and aimed at Synthscaper....but no sound at all.
Have you got AUM to try it with? it's working in AB3 for me but I have the latest beta installed. Maybe try and restart Synthscaper etc.
Only tested standalone and playing some presets and it works very well on my iPad Air 1...
Ooooo, really!
OK now I'm leaning...

Yep, works perfectly under AUM. As for AB3, the sound of silence persists.
By no means riffing on your pain (and after all, you have new toys to play with), but I nabbed this very late last night and starting noodling and yeah it's lovely, but my first thought was, yup, @MonzoPro ....
Keeping you up? I hear that, I'm not a fan of tennis but somehow I find myself watching Wimbledon into the wee hours every year.
Cilic 2 sets to nil, Johnson needs to dig deep ...
The event would work better for me if they renamed it Wombledon, and made them play in big furry suits, before a long litter-picking session.
With the Bulgarians instantly seeded number 1.
I can see this logic working, but it has been a very, very long working week, my judgement may not be A1.
I think the lastest AB3 update is close if that's a bug. But you can try and host AUM as a midi receiver in AB3 and then select iAA port 1 as the receiver in AUM Synthscaper channel. that way you should be able to play with the AB3 mid apps with it.
I know, it's got my name written all over it - even the price is right.
I've spent the last few days up to my ears in Komplete otherworldliness.....mostly in the company of Form and Reaktor. Reaktor alone comes with hundreds of presets: synths, samplers, sequencers and whatnot, and there's more available for free to download. I'm kompletely blown away by it all, and the fact it works in Logic - so I can whack on a bit of guitar or vocals, or even an Alchemy synth if I feel the urge, has kept me more than entertained.
But. I'll still be using the old iPad to start stuff off on occasion, and this is exactly the sort of app I'd want to use.
I'd still like to hear more variation - most of the examples in the three vids sound samey (calling redskylullabye...), but I might be checking the back of the sofa for loose change later tonight...

Great, thanks for your help.
How is it with rhythm samples?
Errr, another problem.
Tried importing from Dropbox, within the app, and three out of three attempts failed. However, I can open in the app from Dropbox. Now all I need to do is work out how to load the sample.
Thank you for this. Although BOY does it make me feel like a pretender.....

Worked for Jackson Browne.
Ok so info from Igor via Twitter when I asked about Air 1, it will work with any 64bit device, it's a CPU heavy app, but if you experience hiccups there's a section in the manual about optimizing the performance. Anyway, good enough for me, will check it out later
After many months of not buying any iOS apps i started to buy a few again because of the euphoric and praise they got (like Mood, DRC, Eos 2, Audiobus 3, RippleMaker, TF8 and a few others).
I must say that i´m not to euphoric about these (they are good but not outstanding or something really new for me...beside TF8 maybe) buys i did but Synthscaper is maybe the best iOS buy i did in a long time.
It´s the stuff i would do with Mitosynth but Synthscaper is maybe my new favorite (iOS) soundscape playground.
Of course i miss a few things but i try to be happy with a version 1.0 so far.
The bad or good thing (depending), Synthscaper replace most of his other apps for me.
It´s more a really nice little synth-experiment-workstation.
My app of the year so far.
I used the export/send to option in Audioshare and it works great.

Yeah, I have a sample showing up in Synthscaper, and have tried to select it in files. But not at all sure it's getting used.
I am bumbling around with this one, not finding it intuitive, but loving the sounds I'm getting. If and when I know what I'm doing...
If that had 3D touch support it would be awesome.
Great GUI and very usable on my iPhone 6S plus. One of the apps i really love to have in such a small but powerful size.
I have to find out now if it´s easy to create an own patch bank to share and import some processed samples to it.
Sweet, if I didn't have a commute / daily couch recovery then Komplete / PC Daw would pretty much be the works for me and the quality of the end results would actually be better for it. It is staggering to explore that world. Looking forward to hearing your gaseous endeavors.
I had this feeling too at first. I found with some presets, subbing in my own samples made no difference but with others it clearly was there. Once I started with the init patch I found learning much easier and then I would hop between init and presets. It is super fun to learn. Some UIs are just neat little puzzle games and this one became that, as opposed to frustrating. I am just scratching the surface and will likely never know it completely but am finding it rewarding to learn more.
