Whoooaaah!
I checked it out in the store just to see how strongly I could hold my "That's it! No more app buying this week!" vow, but it was no struggle at all.
I generally refrain from bitching about prices, but...
Sheesh I bought it before confirming it was AU....this instabuy fever is dangerous
It's a disease, man!
From their Kontakt lib demo:
Very beautiful sound....sold!!
Legato mode is nice, as expected
Funtastic!
Audiobus preset 'Embertone Flute Delayed Long And Fuzz': http://preset.audiob.us/BW9xu05HdrYYc9j
Are you saying that $9.99 breaks a price point threshold that warrants it to be bitched about?
Well, yeah for one...flute. Especially in light of their very good sax for half that price.
However, I don't want to dwell on it. I honestly do very little bitching about prices. No one is forcing me (or anyone else) to buy these things.
Please do Trumpet next???
Looks like a great instrument for a great price. Wish I had a need for it and thus an excuse to purchase it
Defo feel like I'm missing out on something great
The answer to my "lonely" intros. Love it.
What is it with Embertone today? Bought the Sax this morning.
Edit: is this the "Titanic theme" tone?
Yup.
In iOS-land it could be considered pricey. But I just rather enjoy these singular purposed AU’s. The more I enjoy the better the music
Sure, it's $9.99. Embertone wants to make a sustainable income without screwing us over with some sh-tty subscription pricing model. Pretty fair. Once I get a $25 iTunes card, this and NFM are mine!
One thing it does share sensual sax’s propensity to crash on reload in GB. So any host but GB for embertone
Now, that would be nice. Very nice.
Add me on.
I haven't bought Heavy Brass or iFretless Brass cause I'm waiting for @embertone to create the most awesome Trumpet/Brass app. But fingerbon trigger is getting sorely numb waiting
Patience.... someday??
Have both Heavy Brass or iFretless Brass and they're good BUT I don't play them much at all....
I vote for trumpet too but we need violin , cello ,and strings as well ...

Here is the list of their instruments :
They have a free string quartet sample pack available in WAV through their website. Bit of mapping work with BeatMaker 3 and pesto, Embertone string quartet instrument for BM3.
Hmm. Not sure why this flute is priced well above their excellent Sensual Sax, but £9.99 is still decent enough for me to get this next time I have credit.
I'd love for the developers to add a lead electric guitar, and a really good bass guitar.
What the hell is a Gobbler?
Just FYI there's an awesome lead guitar sound in ThumbJam (how awesome would TJ be as an AU..).
I used to use it tracked by my fretless bass's audio signal to wind up the guitarists in that group and it sounded awesome.
the pricing is interesting. the flute for desktop is less expensive than the sax for desktop, yet on iOS the flute is twice the price. looks like they're tetsing the water if they can take almost the desktop price.
it will be interesting to see if they keep this "exchange rate" when they get to port some of the more expensive instruments, like offer the violin for $80 ?
Yeah, thanks Oscar. Already grabbed that one, and loads of others. ThumbJam is a superb app.
Well, I can tell them straight away that much as I like a good violin, $80 would be WAY too much. The max for solo instruments is the current under a tenner. That will be attractive to a lot of people.
I'm very fond of Embertone and have several of their libraries. In this case I'm a little bit hesitant and it's not the instabuy I thought it would be, since it's only 36 Mb and about half the size of its desktop equivalent. I will have to listen to several demos before I buy this one.
