I want this next! Please @embertone
Is this the only Trumpet they have?
It's pretty cool but I want realistic, Sensual sax style Trumpet.
"This could easily have been one of the sounds provided for free with Thumbjam. "
Keep in mind that this iOS instrument features TRUE LEGATO, which Thumbjam does not support.
Scarlet Jerry
The Chapman Trumpet is a traditional trumpet. I want both for sure.
You're right of course, but with an EWI I play the legato like a regular instrument. If you're talkin' slurs and the like, yeah, that could be very nice as a live instrument.
Got it. Missed the part about the EWI (which I wish I had).
Scarlet Jerry
You can play legato and slurs with ThumbJam but it's not real legatos or slurs which is much better of course. But of course this app is small and there are so many kinds of legato to cover if you want a real thing.
For the small sample size it sounds good i think.
And TJ has MPE support too.
Flute is hype ! Mask Off / Future / Molly percocet
Doug has a demo for this -

Here is my take and demo on the Jubal Flute

Must be an echo in here.
I dont really agree. Imo flute can be used pretty much anywhere(maybe not in every song, but still), especially digital one like this that can easily be ran through effects, or essentially be used as a oscillator for a synth.
Such a shame that beat like this was ruined by an untalented retard like that guy..
Heres some real rapping over the beat

I hesitated, but eventually bought the app. It does sound very, very good indeed. I'll still be using Sensual Sax much more, but each to our own.
I didn't like either, at all.
Never can understand why these guys litter expletives in every line. Like angry 12 year-olds trying to be tough guys. Expressing themselves more eloquently, for example in the manner of the brilliant rap pioneer Gil Scott Heron, is so much more interesting, influential and powerful.
I wanted to highlight the sample of Flute of Mask Off but I know that this track won't win the literature Nobel prize . The subject matter inherent in gangsta rap has caused a great deal of controversy. Criticism has come from both left wing and right wing commentators, as well as religious leaders, who have accused the genre of promoting crime, serial killing, murder, violence, profanity, sex addiction, homophobia, racism, promiscuity, misogyny, rape, street gangs, disorderly conduct, drive-by shootings, vandalism, thievery, driving under the influence, drug dealing, alcohol abuse, substance abuse, disregarding law enforcement, materialism, and narcissism.
Sure. Some of it valid, some not. It's all personal taste, of course, and I've always believed in each to our own. There is plenty of room for everyone.
The area of rap that gels with me are exponents who are saying something worth hearing. Example, Gil Scott-Heron - Gun. Real social commentary, and articulate.
"Brother Man says he's 'fraid of gangsters
Messing with people just for fun
He don't want to be next
He got a family to protect
So just last week he bought himself a gun."
Yeah Talib Kweli as well even if I understand better french Rap because it's my mother language .Gangsta Rap is an ego trip game , a bad boy attitude ...But I liked Wu Tang Clan and Mobb Deep (Prodigy) when I was younger...Rip Both
Yea, but i wouldnt call that rap. It has a hip hop beat, but the guy doesent even rap really, just mumbles some stupid crap. I call music like this hip pop, cuz its hip and its pop
Some music shouts and brags and spits and some asks questions. Protest (young/old, black/white, rich/poor) has pretty much always been this way. After that it's toast.
Okay and back to the topic. Bought the app last night and it sounds wonderful. Definitely worth the money, but that is if you really want a quality flute, and like the sound of this.
