Thx Mr NoirFlux. Got it working now - just wish I could record scenes to the timeline instead of just punching them in at specific bars. Can you route bank trax to audio trax and record your scene performance that way?

I'm glad egoist stopped working for me on 3.0.1 because instead of sulking I decided to better learn BM3 and reference the manual. I'm happy egoist works again.

Is there a way to get audio clips to change pitch with a tempo change, in the same way ableton has that pitch warp setting?

Yes you can route your bank into audio tracks but it would record the whole bank. So If you wanted to route individual drums hits for example (for further mixing/ processing), they would need to be set up separately.

I would love the option to record scene performance. Opens up another level of creativity. For now, I am content with just layin g out ideas in scene mode and exploring.

Huh? If I set a pad to a specific scale the Pattern view only gives me access to the notes in that scale I use this all the time.

The Pattern view is always in the scale I set the pad to. It's not global but is per pad...so there is a little setup...but what you are wanting is there.

Now fwiw I never use the virtual keyboard, I either use the Pads or drop notes directly in the sequencer view.

I love this app.

What did you learn about Egoist?

I was referring to BM3.

Yeah so since my last post, I've decided egoist inside of bm3 is redundant. My initial idea for pairing the two was for creating faux mix tapes. I thought that changing the tempo would effect pitch on the audio in egoist. But despite different settings nope. I did notice that using keyboard mode on pads in bm3 with audio loops and playing legato with glide enabled can achieve what I'm after, but then i would be out of alignment with the grid. You know of any DJ apps or loopers that have Link? And speed affects pitch? The only ones i have are stereosun free and blocs. Sorry for going OT.

Ah. Back to modstep then. Maybe you remembered it from one of the earlier betas. They took it out before the final release.
