Bummer, I've attempted this about 5 times now with no luck. I can even see Auria "Decompressing Files" each time I've tried it, yet no matter how many restarts and new projects I've tried, the presets still do not show up in either the track browser or the instrument. No idea where it's going wrong, the steps are quite easy to follow! Just to be sure though, in iFunBox, this is where you are placing the presets.zif file, correct?
Yes!
Garbage! Was really hoping that was where I was going wrong. I've tried this now 7 times and it simply is a no go. For whatever reason my setup does not want to cooperate.
Looking at your screenshot, and the dots after the .zif, are you sure it also doesn't have .zip on the end? That can be hidden for sure on a Mac, because I had the same issue. I used 'Cmd-i' to open the info pane for the archive and deleted the '.zip' form the end of the filename.
Worth a try...
I'll be damned, that did it! Thanks for the tip. I had no idea this was even a thing when renaming file extensions in OSX. Huge help!
Any chance this can be done without a mac? Via " open in" ?
Pretty sure you need either a PC or Mac with something that can copy files to the application folder.
Just done it using iFunbox, neat find ...
Great discovery @theconnactic. Cant wait to try!

Yup, thanks for the heads-up on this @theconnactic!
For anyone who hasn't installed the extra presets yet, and are planning on it, you might want to rename the subfolders before zipping them so that you don't end up with duplicated categories in Auria (two 'Bass', two 'Lead', etc.). I prefixed mine with 'DT' for desktop, which makes it a little easier to see what's going on.
Damn! Wish I'd done this first.
Yeah, unfortunately there is no way to delete these and add them again without reinstalling Auria, which is what I ended up doing. The duplicated categories were bugging me too much.
Is there anything funky going on with Auria at the moment? I haven't used it in a while.
(as in not working)
Have just been setting up a few Twin 2 tracks and buses as a template.
Saved the project. Re open and nothing there. Tried a few times and saved as a template. Didn't work. Only thing that worked was save as a copy of the project. Remembered why I didn't like the saving process in Auria.
Also I can't seem to get multi outputs working to my ICA4, routing them out the matrix and no sound other than to default 1 and 2 ports. Have switched to coreaudio multroute in the settings. Anything else I'm missing?
I don't have an IC4A, cannot tell what's wrong. Here it's all working perfectly, but then again I also don't usually use templates.
Ah wait, I think the templates are loading ok, just the saved project seemed to have failed.
It's possible I've missed something in the settings for multi out will have a play with it...
edit: ok so it seemed to be blocking Multi-out when receiving an audiobus input. Not sure if that's always been the case....
@theconnactic blimey, stumbled upon this thread almost randomly when looking for sound clips for the extra Twin2 packs. I won't be needing them now! Thanks!
My pleasure!
Just installed the presets via windows iFunBox and am absolutely thrilled with the result. I’ve spent close to 1.5k on music apps + iap. and these free twin2 presets sound better than perhaps anything else I have. Thanks so much for sharing this awesome tip !
Enjoy!
Twin 2 might just be my favourite. I’d love a full screen option like some of the fabs have. I spent a long time not using it as I find Auria’s midi editor irritating, but Xequence works amazingly well as a composer/driver if you don’t mind page flipping (4-finger swipes seem to work in iOS 11).
So, with this way of adding presets, which works really well, does anyone know of any preset banks out there that I might have missed when Googling around? I am quite surprised that a company like FabFilter don't have a community preset sharing area on their web site etc.
Also interested!
This is the only one I've found so far (haven't tested it): https://rekkerd.org/patches/plug-in/twin/
Perhaps there's no such a resource, and the ones offered with the Desktop version are it. Thank you for the link, @hellquist.
I finally succeeded in installing the patches from my Mac into my ipad, thanks to you guys. The number and the quality of the presets are... omg, amazing.
How many presets are there?
more than 500...
Anyone have Step by step instructions for windows users? Don’t wanna mess up my AP install. Thanks!
Tried doing this the other day and couldn't get it to work....
1600+ (which is indeed more than 500 )
