On sale, and available for iPhone and iPad: https://samplebotapp.com/download

Samplebot is a collector of sounds. It's a crafter of songs. It's a finger-drummable looping sequencer of rainbow glory, and it wants to be your friend. Come. Play. Robo-boogie.

Record sounds. Make songs. Do a dance.

  • Record or import samples, then play them back on beautiful, sproingy rainbow pads!
  • Then record or input arrangements using the sequencer
  • Revel in the power of built-in drum patterns, loop record and playback, quantization and copy/paste
  • Trim samples, and adjust volume and balance for the perfect mix
  • Share your creations to Facebook, or export them to other music apps
  • Comprehensive MIDI control with velocity, for play using a grid controller like the Launchpad
  • Helpful and fun-loving intro tutorial

Loving your promos. Especially the humorous take on I feel love. Can this app record in from other apps, or must everything be recorded via mic?

Thank you! You know.. I do feel love...

Yup, it's AB3 compatible, and can take stuff via "Open In" and AirDrop

  • Clever little app, never got around to beta test it. Like it the way it turned out. Could be a smart little companion to create some nice loops.

Great. Even though I am deeply crap at timing with loopers, I’m off to the new - and awful - App Store to buy this app.

BTW, it would help sales enormously if you could arrange for a video of early Donna Summer to accompany all compositions, swaying seductively. ;)

  • Waiting for a tutorial video :)

There is a basic and good fun tutorial within the app. No doubt Doug will also be onto this soon enough.

  • Looking forward to having a play with this.

Interesting approach and ready to buy, love this kind of toy based apps! :)
But the big question for me: what can it do more than Triggler and Yellofier of which I see some similarties.

Haven't got Triggler, but Yellofier doesn't have a proper timeline editor like this one.

  • MIDI and Link, coming soon - I just didn't have time to squeeze them into v1.0

  • Love it, but it'd be even better if I could export/share the audio to Audioshare....

Ah, it works on the phone version, so must be an easy fix for iPad, unless I haven't got something setup right.

  • You can definitely already share the mixdown audio to other apps, including AudioShare. I’ll be adding individual pad export soon too.

Not coming up as an option on my iPad, I'll try a reboot.

  • Huh, that’s interesting! So AudioShare isn’t appearing within the mixdown export menu (which you access from the sequencer screen)?

Nope. Also tried rebooting, and app cannot detect AudioShare....but, wait a minute. Got it! AudioShare does appear on sequencer screen. But it has vanished when using this screen.

  • Ah yes, wrong screen - that lets you share the project, but AudioShare (and every other app) doesn't know what a Samplebot project is, so it won't show up there. When you share from the sequencer screen, you're sharing an audio file, which, of course, AudioShare understands =)

  • Ablaze Enemy... damn that thing comes up with good project names...

Ah right, yeah what Zen says.

The Share icon in the timeline window gives more options, including Audioshare - whereas the same icon accessed from the settings menus doesn't include this.

I'm guessing one's for sharing projects, the other for audio, which was confusing me.

Yeah got it now - might be worth putting a label in there somewhere to differentiate between the two for idiots like me.

    Love the app though.

Thanks! Hmm, I'll have a think about it

  • Well promo made me laught especially after a hard day at work.

  • I had a much-needed beer, and on 4 hours of sleep and not much food, I found myself giggling uncontrollably at the Hitting Things one. Bit of a bad sign when you start making yourself laugh...

    Great! :)

  • 'tuning' per step would be super too :)

  • Congrats on the release, @Michael! Is this universal or are the iPhone and iPad versions separate purchases?
