Ios 11 broke auria?
Was editing some stuff and auria crashed. Can’t get back in. After trying many times and restarting etc i downloaded and installed the new update and still can’t get in auria pro. Ipad pro 12.7.

@vpich Back everything up and reinstall, only way.
greetings
Auria updated version for iOS 11 is being beta tested as of now, according to what I read in the Auria Forums. Should be out in a matter of days. This crashing issue is really annoying, because the only way to recover is to reinstall it. You either back up your files with iFunBox and reinstall it afterwards, of wait for a fix: there’s no other option, I’m afraid. Cheers!
Glad I looked in this thread. AP working for me at present, with usual irritations, but maybe I should stop taking a risk until the update arrives.
Well i think i’ll wait for a backup. Would rather not reinstall
Same thing here
I ran into an unrecoverable crash a few days ago and ended up resorting to the former solution (backup and reinstall). Everything's been working for me since then, but I still look forward to this point release.
Hope the Auria/Auria Pro update helps. More importantly, I hope it survives Apple's next upcoming releases. The first developer betas of 11.1 went out yesterday already.
Point releases seldom cause major issues, @Zoidberg: when Auria gets iOS 11 support, you’ll have at least a year without (too much) headaches.
I've been testing developer betas of iOS for ... a number of years. I've lost count of how many times "mere" point releases broke things. Of course, that's what bug reports are for.
This.
AP was working for me fine for a few day after I updated to IOS11 then started crashing on launch, first tried offloading it so I wouldn't have to copy all my 3rd party samples to my Mac and Back.... still crashed, then had to do the back up everything and do a full reinstall route , then sync my in app purchases from the non pro version.... its working again but Ive been too paranoid to use it until we get an update. I would suggest to anyone who uses AP as their main Daw not to update to IOS11 yet until Wavemachine labs has an IOS11 friendly version.

There was plenty of notice that IOS 11 was coming. There really is no excuse for letting the update affect the app so badly. Whatever the developers are doing, actually having a product that worked should surely have taken priority. So many other developers managed to get the job done.
Should have known better. Battery seems worse too. First adopters are suckers.
Has anyone any idea of when this update will be available? It seems it’s just one thing after another with auria..
Yeah Auria's value for me has tanked in the last year or so. It's a shame cause I want to love it. As long as it's workable to the point I can import tracks, apply Fabfilters to them, and bounce them, I'll be satisfied. That's all I ask because I'm afraid the developer's interest/time/need to make money is catching up to Auria.
The battery is not any worse
WOW
I don’t think I’ll be investing anymore $ into Auria
Auria should have had that covered, LAME. sure glad I went with Cubasis, working great after the iOS 11 update.
Auria is increasingly feeling like a dinosaur of an app to me, coupled with a lack of dev responsiveness the signs aren’t good.
Chill a bit please, the reason is fairly simple:many developer just don't trust the betas.Too many things can change and break in the end again so they are waiting at least for the gold candidate before they even start working on an update.Another thing that has been said a million time before: don't update an ios device (or computer for that matter) to the first version of a new OS if you rely on it.Never! It's that simple.Or if you can't wait at least make sure (aka reading threads like this) that your most important apps are running without flaws.
i'll wait for 11.2 or even 11.3.I've done that the last ios changes that way as well.i'm not in a hurry

There are things that Auria Pro does really well, and the killer feature of Fab Filters - plus my investment in them - means I will persevere. Cubasis is great, but the devs will not add AP qualities, such as in-App audio editing (when it works) including vertical as well as horizontal zoom.
I just don’t get why AP, touted as the best most pro DAW for IOS, was allowed to get into serious trouble with an IOS update. It’s irritating enough that bugs reported years ago are still not fixed, but having a situation where the app cannot be safely used is inexcusable.
Auria is perhaps the most complex app on iOS. It's a pro application, like Pro Tools, and sometimes ProTools also falls behind macOS updates (plus you have to pay not a small amount of cash if you want to upgrade). If you run a crucial, pro app like this, the rule of thumb is not to update the OS until the app is update for it - at least, don't update if you have critical work to do. Nobody forced you into iOS 11, Zen! Do your homework.
But yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you in your second post: there are old bugs that are frustrating, not so because they're deal breakers, but because they're old. But DAWs, then again, are complex: do you remember how many years you had to avoid hitting "undo" on Cubasis, unless you wanted your project completely messed with, or using Cubasis' piano roll?
On point.

I take your point, but would refer you to the many great developers who can be bothered to have something ready for launch of a new IOS.
Auria Pro is on an Apple platform, not the other way around. A few bugs with a new IOS version are one thing, but on-going testing should have revealed that a serious instability had occurred.
Would you advocated chilling out if, let’s say, your TV stopped working, and the makers said you should wait until they were happy that someone else’s involvement had ended? Now, with AP, customers cannot safely use the product, and there is no word as to when this will change. Like many people, I am in the middle of projects, and having to remake them in Cubasis....where I can’t use Fab Filters.
If I ever lose my GD Fabfilters I'm switching to desktop. They're the real draw of Auria.
I'm about to try to work on a serious project for the first time since the update, so here goes nothing. Hoping it's not as bad as some make it seem. Will report back.
As for me, I'll happily wait: I have a spare iPad Air that I updated, and my Pro 9'7'' is still on iOS 10 until Rim does his magic. I love Auria. Honestly, it's the one iOS app that paid itself multiple times, that become crucial to my daily work. The day Rim decided he had enough - may this day never come - I'll stop updating my iPad forever. Unless, of course, Apple ported Logic to iOS.
Yup.
@Zen210507, Auria's update is due any moment. Perhaps this weekend, but more probably next week.

Good news. That’s for that.
