I know but Cubasis has to be broken to reach the level of Auria and that just won't work. :D
Sorry , but I just couldn't resist. I hope you get your Update sooner than later.

  • The drama will all be over in a few days. It's hardly unknown for iOS updates to cause problems with music apps.

I would like to take this opportunity to give Lars and the gang over at Cubasisa huge shoutout for all they do to make it the most stable DaW for IOS. Keep up the great work.

Low blow, lol. Hey, I love Cubasis too, use it often and love it's immediacy, getting in and quickly experimenting.
But it's feature set is NOT what Auria Pro's is.

It seems Steinberg have iOS 11's initial days well in hand, good on them. I'd be curious to see however how they would manage with the processes, GUI, VST level plugin compatibility & multitude of mixing options (groups, bussing, etc.) that are at the heart of Auria Pro.

Just saying there's a lot of I's to dot & T's to cross, and WaveMachine's stance has been to do that fine tooth combing on a final released version of iOS, not on the ever evolving betas.

Though I'm sure getting the Classic Machines un-editable 8 bit sample player up to speed with iOS 11 was also quite a chore for the Cubasis team as well.

    Snarky :D

Did the MIDI resolution of Cubasis improve in recent history? I went wholeheartedly down the Auria path (and it has fulfilled my requirements admirably) because Cubasis had a very poor MIDI resolution and while it looked great in other regards (and would be absolutely fine for sequencing) I couldn’t have handled the constant knowledge that my performances were being ‘dehumanised’ to a much higher degree than in the (same priced) alternative.

  • Hope it gets fixed for you is all. ;)

No. Unfortunately Cubasis is still 48 PPQN. Even Garageband has full 996 PPQN.

Yeah, there's really no way around that!

Agreed my brother. Couldn't resist a little good natured ballbusting amongst friends @Tritonman

I'm still kinda surprised I'm even in the discussion because I fully intended to not go anywhere near iOS 11 with my Air 2. The cool dock feature (it really is badass) and maybe some weird hope that 11 would brick my Air 2 so I'd HAVE to go get a new Pro (I know, makes zero sense) made me adopt 1st day, and actually I have been pleasantly surprised. Aside from AuriaPro and the now corrected DrumPerfect Pro everything is working fine, really well actually.

This is a complex app, so I tell users, if you want to continue to use it, don't update the OS until it's stable and I can get to fixing things.

I take your point, from a developer POV. Yet, at the same time regardless of complexity, this is one developer saying if you want the product to keep working, don’t update until I tell you I am ready. Meanwhile, the majority of developers quietly get on with the job, and progress it achieved. Okay, IOS 11 has its problems, too, but overall it is an improvement, and being expected not to use it for the sake of one app does grate a little.

With MacOS, if you look into it, many companies put out statements telling their users if their software is ready and approved for the new OS yet or not. I'll wait on High Sierra at least until everything I use or plan to buy gets the green light.

I'm really not demanding with iOS apps. The money I invest on an individual product is much less, many of the developers are apparently not well paid for their efforts, and I don't need a mobile device to do everything. I understand that Auria Pro is one guy working on an ambitious project. I'm prepared for any possibility, including that it be abandoned altogether. I'll keep an older iPad I have on iOS 10 just in case, and I feel it's still worth what I paid for it.

  • It’s already on Apple app review. Out any moment.
