Samplr is working great but could do with an update to keep pace with the latest developments (Ableton Link, etc).
There were noises that the dev was planning an update but this hasn't materialised into anything, yet. The day it drops will be a good one indeed.
Easily worth having even without the update. As said this and ReSlice don't really overlap, both great apps. Samplr aimed more at "performance".
Still one of the very best ios synths in my opinion
OT, i voted yes despite not having any particular app in mind. I'm sure i will end up buying something
Just brought Ableton Live standard have been on Lite for years. I liked the new updates and looks. Also fancied running 250 incidences of the new Wave Synth! On the 10 beta. Can’t believe the footprint so low on this thing.
Check out Tom Cosm demo.
Gadget 3.5 with all the remaining IAPs if it drops...
Some money at discounted price
I took a look at the video, 250 instances makes Ableton freak out but not crash, he gets 150 instances (all with only 1 oscillator enabled) running no problem. My cpu is a 4th gen i5 quad core, I can load up Wavetable with several eventide effects and hit 40% cpu quite easily. The intersting part is if duplicate that track 7 times, changing the Wavetable patch, panning, adding arpeggiators etc until I have 8 tracks running the cpu is still reading 40%. It seems to be using multiple cores in a very streamlined way.
A note to windows beta users who are underwhelmed by the new graphical improvements (HiDpi) is that it has to be enabled in preferences first and on my machine it takes a considerable amount of processing
@Jumpercollins I would highly recommend getting involved with the beta, it's super stable and you get an extended demo of almost the entire suite for several months free of charge. No problem running 9 and 10 on the same machine.
To get back on topic i will be getting Troublemaker (deal or no deal) and one or two of the latest Korg synths if they get a discount. Samplr and Nave would be a bargain at double the price and I can imagine they still generate a decent income for the developers. You could be disheartened by the lack of updates or be encouraged by the fact that they work flawlessly already!
I might spring for the soundtoys bundle if they have a sale again, there is a free plate reverb you can grab right now that will cost 99$ in the near future. This company has had either free or pay what you want charity fundraiser promos regularly and over the years I have ended up with enough free/almost free stuff that my upgrade price to full bundle was not much more than €100 during Black Friday last year, retail is $599 I think.
Last year I got eventide anthology x at 90% discount, normal price is $1,199!!!
Yes, it works great. We can always hope for Link, panning and separate outs but what’s there is complete.
If you want to sync to a Link session, it’ll slave to an app that has both Link and midi out. I’ve used FunkBox for this (on an muted channel) although I imagine there must be plenty of options.
A 65 Mustang
This!
A Stradivarius
Will Cubasis be on sale? I've been using GB and Gadget so I wanted to pick up Cubasis and Auria Pro if those are on sale
A new 55" OLED TV.
I bought this SE last year, think there was about £100 knocked off.
I don't think there's anything I'm holding out on app wise. I'm mostly just excited for Brambos' new stuff, and I'm eying the other sequencer that just dropped.
Definitely going to buy another controller though, and maybe a better hardware interface.
FoldR
Apple Watch
I signed up for the beta program but there's no info on 10 beta. Do you have to be selected by Ableton for that?
Nothing
I signed up the day after the announcement and it took a few days to get an invitation email
"Signing up for the beta does not give you immediate access to the beta. We will enroll groups of applicants daily, which means that you may have to wait until your group is enrolled. How long you have to wait is not specified; it depends upon the number of applications we receive.
What happens once I have been accepted?
Once you have been fully enrolled in the beta program, you will receive an email confirming this. This email will contain a serial number for the Live 10 beta. You must first register this serial to your Ableton user account. After registering this serial number, you can log into Centercode, download the beta version, and install and authorize it."

Sorry for my ignorance here, but 250 instances of what exactly? That's a lot of instances and I am trying to guess "what in the world are you instancing 250 times?" Sounds like a particle scene from my 3D days, lol.
Thank you. I will need that trick when I finally pick this app up. Heck, I may just get it early since according to their past sale history, I doubt it will go on sale anyway. Then I can focus on getting all of those other apps I so DESPERATELY NEED.
I thought that too but then remember that things can count fast. Sometimes i use a stacked track which included 20 arps and 20 other instruments hided in on track. Just copy it several times for different octaves, tunings etc. and you are fast over 100, 200 whatever.
But of course it´s not needed for most people. Sometimes i feel fine with 5-6 simple tracks from the same tool.
I see. I just had to ask because I don't usually see numbers that high when referring to track, instruments, FX, etc.
Thought maybe they were dabbling in some new form of Black MIDI or something.
iPhone 8 will get $200 off at Black Friday
@CracklePot This is from earlier in the thread
Ah. Missed that. Thank you @BlueGreenSpiral. Now I have that video just playing away in the background. The timbres being produced are quite amazing!
Amen Brother!
And Cubasis IAPs if there are any new when it drops.
Korg & Steinberg usually have 'Black Friday Sales' so I'm hoping new stuff will pop from both companies.
If I can get a good deal on a 64GB iPhone 8+ I might go for that too
BM3 and a Google Pixel 2 XL
Cubasis and its IAPs were half price for a while during the summer.
