The "Air-N-More" tobacco drum wins first prize for the "Something I would never think up" contest! I think I could hook an E-cigarette patched into Nave..... lol
@MarkR - I'm only seeing one hub and one audio interface but two iPads with CCK. How are they hooked up? I don't know of a hub with two upstream ports other than iConnectMIDI2+/4+, which you are not using.
@dwarman looks like the right ipad's CCK is connected directly to the Korg keyboard and is using the headphone out for audio.
@MarkR love the tin->imaktor set up. How does it respond relative to it's typical tap-on-the-table response?
Yeah I'm quite interested in the tin piezo Irig impaktor rocket too. Been trying to run it in a live situation without being re triggered by the sound/vibration from the speakers with various degrees of success.

That is correct. For some gigs I use the Korg alone with one of them and just use the other for non-key stuff like Loopy, DrumJam, etc. (and if I'm not using my headset mic, then I don't use the Alesis or the hub either). Other times the M-Audio is the only keyboard.

It works just fine. Don't forget that the sensitivity is adjustable within Impaktor, but I just leave it on "5-Normal".
I started out using an older Yamaha single-zone e-drum pad, and that worked great. Even though it was designed for use with sticks it picked up my finger pats just fine. But it's bigger than I need and doesn't lie flat (being made for a stand), so I tried out the piezo idea just to keep things small and fitting in my bag. I happened to find that tobacco tin, and handily had a nice fat ring of foam to stuff into it. Add a 1/4" jack to the tin, run the wire to the piezo resting on top of the foam (not attached in any way) and screw the lid down. I do get quite a few people asking just what the heck I'm doing tapping on the thing.

I can imagine that in a high-volume stage situation you'd have to find a compromise with the sensitivity setting in Impaktor against your playing style. I'm usually working alone, or at least not a high volume, as I use this set-up with a dance group. And my amp is to my left while the trigger is to my right.
I should also add:
The complete Big Rig includes a Roland Handsonic 10, sometimes in the other channel on the Alesis to feed it through Loopy, sometimes just running in the fourth channel of the Rolls mixer (which happens to be an awesome little unit, as it includes stereo 1/8" Ins for each channel, so it's perfect of i-devices). I also use a few acoustic things, a cajon (drum box) and a wind instrument or two. Amplification is either a Behringer 200W keyboard amp (for outdoors or big rooms) or a Logitech computer speaker system (which actually works quite well and while not as loud has better bottom end than the Behringer).
I travel to many of my gigs by bike (even during an Ottawa winter) so I need to keep the rig small to fit in the trailer. Switching from my old laptop to ios devices has made that much more practical and opened up a whole new world of synth apps and fun!
Thanks for the info @markr and respect for the winter biking!
Here's my latest iOS set up:

Concept for my iOS setup. Now I just need to build it.
My last Setup....without analog
Here's my set-up. It's only since januari 2013 that i started with synths and learn to play keys so i'm pretty happy so far.
What is the keyboard with the bench in front of it? It looks like a Casio that I have.

It's a Yamaha DGX-630. I got a chance to buy it a few months ago for €300. I wasn't looking for a digital piano/keyboard at all but at that price it was an excellent opportunity to improve my key skills. It's pretty much all audiobus's fault...it made me wanna play keys!
My live rig.
Cheers!!!

My latest
My iOS setup is incorporated with my computer, turntable, and instrument repair tools...
Now that is a nice eclectic collection of instruments! I don't see an iPad - is that an iPhone doing the iOS work for you?
It's an iPod it has more data and all my
Lesson apps, but my iPhone does most the work, I am using it to take the photo. I will be getting an iPad this month. I am finally making money with music so an iPad is a truly justified expenditure. I really try to mix iOS and Mac software as much as possible. I master everything on my iPhone through t-racks, camelphat/space, absynth, and a billion other plugins.
I have about 60 instruments in my apartment. Some are waiting to be donated, some need repaired, some old bowl back mandolins that I have no idea what to do with.
This picture doesn't show two items I record into my iOS often, my awesome homemade washtub bass and giant magnus chord organ with pedal
Let me know what you figure out to do with the mandolins. I've had one follow me around since the 60's in UK, now in Seattle, and all stops between. Ditto a dulcimer I bought from its luthier at an early Renaissance Faire (1976 in Agoura). But you'll have to pry my already vintage concert guitar from that era away from my cold dead hands:)
I love my mountain dulcimer, a simple student model built by bill berg of Indiana. My last purchase before I decided to jump into the world of electric, recording, and iOS (up until last year I had complete disdain for this kind of music making... Now it makes a modest living). The guitar hanging on the wall is a 50's Silvertone... The greatest parlor acoustic you could ever play. It is on a couple corporate jingles I recorded.
It is interesting to use the dulcimer with Midi Guitar... Experimenting now. Not sure if I can get the Autoharp to work that way. (By the way I have 3 autoharps if someone wants one!). Plus I love playing my acoustic instruments plugged into amplitube and all my effects in Audiobus. Great way to find new sfx.
Just finished my new setup ! now to play
