Is modstep the best at what it does?

Which is what? Make you wonder what the heck they were thinking when they designed the interface? Yes. ;)

Seriously though. It does a LOT of things very well - some not so much. Could you share what you mean by "what it does"? That would help to answer the question better.

Wow, now apesoft apps are on sale?! Guess I'll finally get to check out what all the fuss is about with Mood...

I'm going to be in so much trouble when the wife finds out! I burned through $50 in iTunes in the past week with Quantum, Senode, Kauldron, DeeMax, Rozeta, bunches of Ampify IAP's...now I've gotta get all of the Audio Damage apps, more Gadgets, Xequence (think that's on sale, too), ChordFlow, Mood, maybe some iSymphonic IAP or Cubasis Waves plug-ins, and I'm sure I missed a couple. I think I have a problem. Heeeeeeeeeeelp!

I will definitely use Doug's links for as many of these as I can--thanks to everyone who posted for that reminder!

Tell her you spent it on drugs, not apps!

  • The Reason 10 upgrade is $30 off. So I'm gonna get a hell of a bargain for $99 upgrading from R7. :)

  • I bought ReSlice, Scythe (both of 'em), Shoom, Brusfri, iSymphonic Orchestra, and Oriental Strings so far. Probably pick up Heavy Brass, Italizer, and Moebius Lab after I get back from the store with more iTunes credits.

  • Wow. I think I just bought... everything.

It’s not even here, and this has been the blackest Friday yet.

Honestly only had a few minutes with it, but it sounded great. As far as if it's worth it... It's only $5, which is the greatest deal for a Wavetable Synth. Most comparable ones run around $20. There is no IAPs lurking either. Another thing to consider is the developer is updating it like a madman, as well as being active on this forum taking suggestions and answering questions and giving updates on the development. This thing was released less than a month ago and has already seen 7 updates. It has most of the iOS extras that are currently available, but no AU yet. Still, it seems to have strong Audiobus 3 integration. Plus if you are new to Wavetables like me, it has a good interface for learning. I couldn't resist, so I picked it up today. Still going to get Nave later on when I get more dough. Probably will grab PPG MiniMapper for $3.99 later this week though.

I just started diving into this tonight and am very surprised! It’s probably the most straightforward wavetable synth. It just begs you to import your own sounds (which I had never done with the others) and modulate away. It’s really great!

  • Zmors sale too now

  • All virsyn stuff is on sale. Which one should I buy?
    Tera? Poseidon? Cube? Addictive pro?

Most likely getting reslice as well.

Already got scythe, (both of them) and mood and Kauldron.

  • All the Auria Pro plugins are indeed half off. It still reports being full price, but the correct amount will show up when you press buy .. I just purchased Fabfilter Pro-R, Q2 and C-2 for $20, $15 and $15, respectively.
