  • Interesting that Arp Odyssey is getting more than twice the votes that IMonoPoly is; I guess that's the one I'll part £15 for. Prolly save iMonoPoly for Christmas. :)

I vote for Mono/Poly. I much prefer it, and it runs much better in Gadget.

is there much use for ielectribe? Omg yes!

does it play well with others? not sure how to answer that. It’s IAA and works fine in all apps. Can’t set specific midi inputs, and only listens on ch 10. No midi learn. Odd note mapping scheme. Has Link. I wouldn’t call it a team player, but it will play on a team if it needs to

you can’t import samples, can you? Nope. It’s a synth. That said, you probably won’t miss that it’s such a great drum synth. I feed samples from it to other apps more than many others

and in the gorillaz version — in order up put up with that cartoon interface, do you get bonus sounds? or is it really just a gorillaz soundset? can’t help with that one.

YMMV, but I apsolutlely friggin love iELECTRIBE. I come back to it all the time.

[edit] oh, forget about updates and improvements. I really don’t think Korg is gonna come back to the iELECTRIBE. I think it’s fully baked in their eyes.

    OK, I’m in.

  • I throw at least 3 Gadgets on my iPad fire a day - that’s why Gadget makes my iPad so HOT!

  • Is there any new sounds to be had with iDS 10 Plus expansion- or is it just more of the same?

  • If I had to choose 1 it would be M1

Just more of the same, but since the same are synths, new sounds are kind of up to users.

Wow. It's like having the Tokyo gadget as an IAA/standalone with an extra drum machine included. This is going to be fantastic. I wish I could automate the delay per voice, but that's a small wish. This is the best new addition to my arsenal. Thanks, Wim.

Yeah, already have iM1 and iWavestation.

They're both fantastic but iM1 especially I think. On paper it doesn't sound as thrilling as some of Korg's other stuff, but the sheer range and number of sounds it offers is phenomenal. Plus, since a lot of the presets are understated they actually turn out to be more useful in the sense of "playing well with others". And the preset filtering system is really well implemented.

    So I love it!

But I'm ready for a more in-depth virtual analogue I think.

Being realistic, I'll definitely pick up both IMonoPoly and Odyssey over the next month and a half sale period...

  • The Korg apps are so appealing but lack AUv3 support so I refuse to buy. Korg probably will never go that route

  • Yes, iM1(Darwin) on iPad as a gadget, but not on iPhone ?
I can’t figure out if it’s possible to add, but I guess as long as there’s no iM1 for iPhone, it can’t be added. Not a deal breaker, but would be so cool.

  • @Martygras said:

No. On Iphone only works as a gadget in Gadget full version

I’ve bought everything except DeeMax, but agree without AU, I’m probably throwing money away :D

You can get Darwin on IPhone, just not the standalone iM1 app:

  • Finally picked up monopoly. Initial sale price was $20 but I knew Korg does 50% sales a few times a year so just saved $5 to spend on some other sale app. Hurray for me and consumerism in general!

Yeah, it's been touch and go lately, but I think it'll pull through in the end.

  • Love gadget, it’s like that old fling you keep running back to
Lately I have been sequencing my gadget tracks in Xequence

I still need monoPoly and some module IAPs, just when I thought I had cut myself off.

Thanks. It is not possible to create any new/different sounds than you already could. What a pity- I was getting exited for a moment there. Two synth tracks is plenty for me in that case.

  • Hey can someone please help? Please?

I bought IMS-20 and i’m Trying to connect arturia keystep via CCK with no luck at all. I get a pop up in iMS-20 when I connect the controller, it says keystep connected, so it see’s it and still not working. Also I see NO midi menus in this app. Is there midi options within this app? Where is the midi menu? I’ve never had a problem like this with any other app or my controller. I can’t find any info online either, i’ve Been looking all morning.

Fortunately you can at least pick which parts go to the FX section. But yeh. There’s so much else to mess with that I don’t usually miss that limitation too much.

I'm totally giddy about this discovery and am feeling foolish for not having jumped sooner. I assumed it was a soundset that was really limited, and I was wrong. (Next you'll tell me that iKaossilator is versatile and capable of making ambient bed tracks....)

I would really love to hear about how people are using iElectribe.

Mainly as a way to temporarily stave off the inevitable purchase of the hardware. ;)

Aside from just having a great time jamming, I’ll often set up a 4 bar groove, then loop it and judiciously use the “flutter” on every 4th, 8th, or 16th bar to generate quick fills. Flutter can be used just as well to simplify and put space into a groove as it can to make it more complex and random. Record the midi out, and you have an instant basis for developing sequences for playback.

It’s also fun to drive with Rozeta now that we have that. But more often than not I’ll just gravitate back to the interface because it’s so fun and everything is right there.

  • here you go @Jaymon the manual may be of some help. http://www.korguser.net/ims20/html/help/en/midi.html
    if not try korg's forum

i’ve experienced the battery drain using Gadget as well, but to be fair I have noted the same when doing intense setups in AUM, and AB3, especially now that i’ve updated to 11.
