"Getting side-tracked by Fun Beats" and developing the latest toy is more important than fixing bugs apparently.

On a matter of principle no more $ going that way until this is resolved.

As a matter of principal I will instabuy everything he releases because of his earlier honest comments on his dev process and noodle distractions like this :)

(Not trying to be facetious, but haven’t been affected by any bugs - I’m not using axon for midi out)

To be fair, he has a right to run his business however he wants and warned us all on these forums that he will do so and inevitably offend people in the process by something he does or says.

Not that I agree with them either (the Axon thread talks about what’s wrong with the MIDI out and implies its a simple quick easy fix), but he’s up front about his own principles.

I love a straight-shooter also and will get behind the creative driven mavericks of this world but I'm also a software developer and understand that if there are paying users of my software out there that are affected by my bugs then they will take priority.

Right Way: See issue, communicate "quick easy fix", fix within 3 months (at most a couple of days if your name begins with Bram).

Wrong Way: See issue, communicate "quick easy fix", go silent on it, twitter the next toy, say you're having too much fun.

It's not about people taking offense (I'm not offended by anything here, I just want a working piece of software and the feeling that priorities are in order), it's just about being a good developer.

Each to their own, we all have our own principles and judgement of character. :)

All good :) by the way, iTunes random play selected ‘cashing in on Christmas’ this morning, and then it was Bad News album for the next hour :)

I had that on my car stereo once, when I stopped at traffic lights in the middle of Nottingham. ‘Vim Is angry’ was on full blast and, forgetting I had the window down, caused shock and disgust to a group of pensioners waiting for a bus a few feet away.

    “Bit more foul language...”

Oh I agree with you, I think abandoning the MIDI Axon fix was pretty shoddy since he acknowledged it on here, said ‘whoops! i’m an idiot, I can fix this quickly’ then went and is still currently silent on the board.

However, he did build up a lot of trust with me before that with the 7 or 8 or however many quality bug-free apps that came first. I was never a fan of Axon anyway compared to the other stuff (way too clunky to program) , but for me personally as a non-developer, it would drive me crazy knowing something I’m selling for profit does not do something it advertises. But hey, priorites for some people are different. Whatever. I’d still really like the bandpass filter on iOS.

Had a reply back from AudioDamage, they are hoping to get FilterStation out by the end of the year and I quote from
    Them

This will have an iOS version, hopefully before the end of the year.

As for Tattoo, we're actually going to make a new drum product, using the sequencer from Tattoo with new voices. It's way better.

will we see filterstation for ios this week? anyone heard?

Sounds like he ran into an app reviewer who hasn’t had much experience with music apps or Apple is looking for some very specific language about using the mic in apps. Hopefully this means they’re serious about preventing violations of user’s privacy.

I’m very excited for this; possibly more than anything else they’ve released.

And here’s me thinking I didn’t need it because I have other filter apps. What’s the scoop?

It’s the last bit of kit that we need to start consistently releasing complete tracks!

I don’t NEED it but I love supporting them because they release creative apps.
