Cool, first app of the year bought!
Don't know if it will ever get 'multi-touch support' though (meaning use 2 fingers to move the 2 peaks).
I'll most likely automate this anyway so it's not such a big deal...
Uggggg. I might as well just have a line of credit with certain Developers. Oh you have new toy? Here take me money. Lol.
looooove it!!! finally a proper filter for ios, outside of fabfilter in Auria. Thanks for this one!
First impressions: dis gun' be fun!
Is this the usual AU with stand-alone? I assume it will be the same as the rest of the AD apps, since they don't even bother to specify in the app description.
Oh just saw it in the picture. It is AU, IAA, and SA.
It is awesome and superb recording automation in BM3
Ok. This is pretty damn great. Definitely caught me by surprise.
Anyone know if this is essentially identical to the desktop version of Filterstation2? I would assume so. The demo video looks to be more functionality than I thought it'd be. Doesn't matter, gonna buy it anyway.
Anyone having the AU rendering problem with this, like with the other AD plugs in GB reported in that other thread?
Sorry I don't quite get it. Is this basically an equalizer as an AU extension? This would be indeed interesting...
You could use it like an EQ, but it's akin to a subtractive synth's filters.
It’s got LFO Sync and Envelope too...so can can definitely do more creative things with it
Great AU. Just tried it in BM3 and I am a happy camper!
Meh
Just used it in an AUM session with Refraktions and a couple of instances of Rozeta LFOs. Sondded really good to my ears.
Ah ok i See. Thanks guys! I put this on my radar. Hopefully we will see and hear some YouTube content coming up and showing the app off.
Here’s my effort having fun!
I could be wrong as I don't personally know the man, but I would bet that Chris Randall is a musician first - and tinkerer - and developer second, given his musical career (as the man behind one of my favorite bands of all time, Sister Machine Gun). If he's "unconventional" as a developer, that's probably part of the puzzle.
As someone who already owns multiple filters (Moog Filtatron, Amazing Noises DubFilter, apeSoft apeFilter), and as someone who LOVES Audio Damage apps (I own Eos, Phosphor, FuzzPlus, RoughRider, Axon and Replicant) please school me:
What does Filterstation so that apeFilter/Filtatron/DubFilter won't do?
Don't get me wrong, it looks super cool and sounds great, but I'm trying to curb my app spending in 2018 and actually start USING all the apps I bought in 2017 (and it was a lot).
Oh awesome apps...
I believe so. Saw something about presets being compatible.
Even better than I expected!
Cool. Thx. Busy at the moment but hoping for a little time to sneak a play with this soon.
Does it export properly?
Export? I have used FilterStation mainly as an AU FX, also as IAA and through AB. All of these work great.
Yah, neither Replicant2 nor Axon2 export (you need to record them in realtime) and it doesn’t sound like they will ever be updated to be able to export.
Anyone?
Filterstation vs. apeFilter vs. DubFilter vs. Filtatron?
Is there anything the former can do that the latter three can't?
@dvlmusic It doesn’t get quite as crazy as ApeFilter but is to my eyes and ears less complicated to use. Similar territory but worth getting.
