Why are developers so ####ing slow to adopt iOS 11 features?

In most cases not enough financial motivation vs. other priorities most likely.
Uh oh.
It took a year for AUv3 to get off the ground...so I guess we’ll start seeing Files access around the iOS 12 time frame
+1
I’m out.
Yah, its been working great too... (heavy sarcasm)
I know more devs need to get on board for the bugs to be ironed out of the system itself but maybe signing up for another feature just signs up for more complications.
What app(s) are you wanting to support Files?
Blame Apple first for not putting it in iOS 1
I wish the developers would get going on the whole gravity belt thing too. My legs get tired having to hold my carcass off the ground.
We had gravity belts on PCs since the 80s daggumit.
You know....if you want a computer, buy a computer.
This lame file apps is still miles away from a computer workflow.
But in general i agree. The worst is if i need to use i-tunes still.
Here’s the thing...
(Sorry, subscription pricing is not an option for me. I’d rather eat a horse.)
So, either pay up or shut up. Simple, no?
I still wish more developers used iCloud back up for syncing projects across devices. I get it not really being feasible for something like Auria or maybe BM3 where you could have GB of data to transfer. But for apps that are self contained, it would be so useful.
Now that I agree with.
It’s better to tackle basic stuff first. I’d still shoot some cash towards the devs via IAP to give them an incentive/a supper.
Lol
This
@Max23 cool vid!
Absolutely.
This is the correct answer.
Maybe they could sell loot boxes containing the feature, or iMessage stickers.....
I’m not sure how, but I’ve gotten by fine with iOS file management for several years now. I complained at first, but what do you do but figure out how to make it work? I couldn't get by without a computer, though.
It’s nothing short of amazing what iOS music app developers have provided for the platform—probably more than Apple ever envisioned. Way more than anyone should expect for the cost of apps. If devs aren’t ready for new iOS 11 features, then they must have a good reason.
