  • @lukesleepwalker nice i really like the melodic vibe the organ or distorted keys were awesome . if you were more selective on the huh and put it in very special places it would hit a lot harder.. sounds awesome though

  • @richardyot i like this a lot .. its got a little more distance than i would prefer. i like vocal effects you chose but can't hear them enough try putting a clean clone and pan opposite of it with a little lag . some john lennon slap back action. i do like it . i enjoyed it a lot . all your recent entries have made me a fan. .. the other day i did an hour of listening to your stuff like an album and i had a good vibe the entire time.

  • @JohnnyGoodyear i like this one a lot is the thing thats easy to say and keep it up. if i can make one change would be a change of pace in the kick somewhere in there.. don't know if your going for a score or what but a snare cracking halfway through would give it a powerful sound and kick your energy up a bit. i know i should shut up and go write my own song and put a snare in it.. i hope you have a great month writing

  • @rickwaugh i love the drums you put out . most people let the program do the work on a drum track but not you .. you have mastered finger drumming along with bass guitar and piano.. and if you weren't sharing with us it would be a waste and unfair .. you have some talent and you work twice as hard as i do ... you perfect things where i say any take is perfect.. i think a producer would love to work on your album and hate mine!

Wow, thanks, I'm really surprised that anyone would sit through an hour of my music. The feeling's mutual though, I also really like your vibe, it's fresh and full of energy and definitely yours. In fact that's the best thing about SOTMC, everyone really has their own and very distinct individual voice and sound.

  • @DefRobot piano sounds great.. . i like the song . in my opinion its the one i like the most of what I've heard , i would have to be honest and tell you i think there is too much back up vocals going on. if you did it less and in certain parts only it would impact me as a listener a lot more. don't get me wrong i love all the vocals but i also love cheesecake but can only have one a day.. i really like the song

  • @studs1966 what can i say other than you've taught me to enjoy things i never would have. i appreciate your work and know what it takes to do what you do. its enjoyable hard hitting and vibrant in sound...if i had to listen to this style i say id listen to you over any one else . that being said ill let you get back to doing the thing that bumps sotm club every month

  • @gmslayton space in this place// makes me feel like I'm in a huge ass room. thats a cool beat but there could be more to this fill it up a bit more .. what you have so far is cool but its just a start to something that could be great.. you have the skills to do what you did if you did it a little more on this i would be cool with it.. leaves me hungry for more

Thanks for the kinds words. Much appreciated. Tho I wonder at some point people may get bored of it he projects I've made?........ I've made over 400 tracks of NU Disco & Deep House (took just a little bit over a year to do......) But Hey Ho, I hope people won't get bored?........ ;)

Yep you caught one of the things that I'm unhappy with. The huhs popped out after light mastering and I realized I had gone to sleep on mixing those in judiciously. Thanks for listening closely!

OK, right down to the wire, my entry for the month. It's throwaway and experimental but I still haven't missed a month yet.

I like the feel of this. sounds good! The vocal part is my favorite part of it, and definitely could be built upon.

  • @trackedout, thanks kindly for that. Lol, I’d love to have a real producer have a go at my stuff... I think. But then my OCD self would kick, I’d keep saying “No”, we’d have a major falling out, and well.... I’d be a poor old retiree again. :D

  • It’s still January somewhere.

Thanks to Sham and Crewe for lending me the film. Gave it back a while ago.

“It’s gonna be a year of No Fear.” Musically.

    @JohnnyGoodyear @rickwaugh @Shaken&;Stirred @fattigman @DefRobot @studs1966 @trackedout @gmslayton @Jocphone @richardyot @lukesleepwalker @fattigman (Sorry, missed a month in part 1). :)

Haha  always a pleasure to watch your reviews. This review is like your contribution to SOTMC, full of rhymes and rhythmic spoken words. Just great!

  • @Bluepunk love the rhyming, the language is amazing. The reviews are a work of art in themselves, and hilarious throughout. And the banana theme (which got going from a Big Country reference, :D ). It's a stream of consciousness from a madly creative mind, and I love every minute of it.

You Sir, are the best matey. Love your reviews.... Always!....... Even my 7yr old little princess loves your vid too. Kept it up Mr B. That bottle of KEO is waiting for you in the Fridge. ;)

  • Ah, @Bluepunk, brilliant as always. In answer to your question about my artistic skills, you really don’t want to read my poetry. :D

And in response to one quote in your video, “If I told you you had beautiful thighs, would you hold them against me?” ;)

At last, romance blossoms in the SOTMC

  • @fattigman Thank you very much. Too kind. No more hashtag: Mocktobering this month. Two to go Sir. :)

@studs1966 Please thank your daughter for watching, (I’ll keep the swearing down) and for the kids book idea. Thoroughly enjoyed many sessions on the Keo in Paphos but the docks in Limassol was my favourite haunt. Lots going on down there. :)

@rickwaugh Oh yes I do! Especially because you don’t want me to. :)

@Jocphone Rick has intelligence and class. I haven’t. Only the swish of perm from a David Van Day lookalike could turn my eye. Actually, the vid was inspired by a bloke I knew who really did think he was the hunk dunk. After a gram of whizz and whiskey chasers he did a decent job as well. :)

@richardyot If a SOTMC blind date ends in wedding bells, you do know that you’ll have to but a ‘new hat’ Cilla. :)

Mate, don't worry about the swearing. She teaching me new swear words, & translating them into Greek........ "YouTube Teaches All!........" keep up the Fantastic work........ A+
    :)

  • @Bluepunk Funny stuff man.

@trackedout Thanks for the input. I most uploaded it prematurely. There is definitely room for it go grow and develop. That's my goal this year, to finish tracks. I come up with little ditties all the time but never finish them.

@DefRobot I had headphones on plus my wife and I have figured out we can cuddle and be doing different things and its relaxing and we are still spending time with each other. She has her shows that she likes to watch and we hang out separately but together.

@richardyot I enjoyed making it. I try to keep things moving, especially since it was being looped. Now the issue is, if I want to finish it, remember all that I had going on.

@lukesleepwalker my goal this is to actually produce more music but still make tutorials and videos but try to apply all the stuff I talk about to actual music production. I think I am going to sign up for distrokid, that way it might motivate me to actually finish some tracks.

  • @Bluepunk That was the best 9:31 of my week, maybe my month. Brutally funny, artful, thought-provoking. This month could have begun and ended with: "the lovechild of John McEnroe and Henri LecontEE". Nuff said. As for a year of No Fear? Only if the kids are united.

@richardyot BP's video made me realize that I almost missed your submission for this month. Throwaway, eh? I dig this one quite a bit... The tone/feel is spot on, the arrangement oozes and chimes in all the right places, and the vocal sits in the mix comfortably. This one feels like a sitting on the beach at night with a warm breeze in my face and a sky full of stars above. Nicely done.
