Anyone got their music on Spotify?

Notice I'm getting quite a few followers and plays for my stuff on Soundcloud - small beans relatively, but makes me think with a bit of polish and some promotion I might be able to make up to £0.08 per month, via streaming/plays on something like Spotify. You never know, and it'd encourage me to step up my game a bit.
They say "we require all music to be delivered by labels and distributors. If you’re not signed to a label or distributor, we have deals in place with companies who can deliver your music to us and collect royalties for you. These are called aggregators." and go on to list labels and aggregators for unsigned artists, and aggregators for labels.
Anyone got their music on Spotify, and/or using labels/aggregators suitable for unknown obscure artists who can provide a few tips?
Just something I'm mulling over, I guess the costs/hassles involved will negate the 0.00001p per play I'd receive, but as a project it'd be an interesting thing to do.

I read an article on the forum a little while ago. Some guy who had a semi-well known band. Claimed that he made more on Bandcamp with a pay what you like option. Just a thought..
Yeah, I've got a Bandcamp profile but no tracks up there at the moment, something I need to look into. The Spotify thing appeals as it's based on plays, rather than sales, so I thought that might be another potential revenue stream. Expecting people to pay for my rubbish is pushing credibility a bit, but as on Soundcloud there's probably a bunch of like-minded souls that happily listen to the tracks for free on Spotify.
No harm in doing both. Have been looking into this as well but not got round to pushing the right buttons yet.
I think it'd encourage me to take more care over what I put out, and push the quality up a bit as well - particularly now I've got a decent setup, though there'd still be room for experimental wig-outs on Soundcloud.
I might look into creating a label as well, wuld be good to go straight to a distributor and cut out the middle men.

I use CDbaby to get my music on all the major online platforms. It might not be the cheapest, but I like their reporting and I’ve had far less issues than other companies. Plus, no yearly fee to keep your music online like some places charge.
Yes, I have my music on Spotify as well as Bandcamp along with my collabs with Doug Woods. I use Distrokid to get Doug Woods and Colin Powell music onto the various stores and not had any issues.

Not seen too much back from anything other than Bandcamp though. My albums are mainly pay what you want but Doug Woods and Colin Powell albums usually have a set price.

They're on the recommended Spotify list too, so I'll check out their terms/costs. I don't expect to make any money from this, it's just a bit of a project and need to avoid any membership fees if possible.

Another fan of Distrokid here. Yearly subscription, but the cost for me has always been offset by iTunes/Amazon/Google sales (and streaming less so).
+1 for doing it through Cdbaby. Been with them since 2006.
I have thought about putting some music out. Actually paying for something like Distrokid might help motivate. I wouldnt mind a yearly fee especially since its unlimited albums and tracks. it also seems to have an easy way to get cover songs approved as well. Maybe with my next Youtube Check I will signup.
It does sound like an incredibly good deal. Do you pay more than the advertised $19.99? They say it starts 'from' $19.99, and more details are available after signing up.

Another +1 for Distrokid; they're really on the ball. They won't do anything for you in the way of promotions, though — just get your tracks onto the brand-name services. Which is pure vanity for me at this stage, but it's reasonably cheap and nice to have.

I'm on the middle tier, which is $36 a year. I needed the 2 artists and label names. It gives you some other benefits, but mainly I needed to separate my personal stuff from the game soundtracks I release.

I would avoid LANDR, had a bad experience in general with them. I use DistroKid and enjoy it immensely.
Also, a website and a little SEO doesn't hurt. I don't do Facebook but I use twitter and instagram to dominate google image searches for my stage name (slowflood)

Yeah I've got a website, and I could add my own download section easily (I do this stuff for a living anyway). Problem is you have to be VAT registered to sell digital downloads in the UK, and I don't want the hassle of that, so the Bandcamp/Spotify/Apple Music route via CD Baby or DistroKid means I can avoid all that.
I used TuneCore to get my music on Spotify, iTunes, and a number of other sites. I probably should have done a bit more self-promotion to get more plays, but the tunes are still up there as far as I know....
