  • I am trying to determine the nature of my iPad issues.

Does anyone else use Cubasis in AB2?

Can you run more than 1 AU without Cubasis redline/crackle?

It depends on the AUv3, 10 instances of Poison-202 is no problems on an Air 2 as an example...

I'm actually continually surprised at how fast and fresh the Air 2 still feels. For Apple standards it's already aging, but it handles pretty much anything I throw at it (within reason). One of the better iOS investments in terms of practical lifespan I must say.

I actually shouted "YES" out loud when I read "Introducing Audio Unit MIDI"!

    Me too !
Being able to control and record rozeta in this so easily looks awesome. This and minimoog together just made easter weekend...and my week off work next week looking like fun :)

  • Quality innovation from Mr Lars and team. Wake up Auria Pro makes, ‘cause if not one day Cubasis may just win the race!

  • Does it have Ableton link?

Thanks for another great update Lars! And Team!

While it takes only a short moment of your time, it is of very great help for us!

    Thanks for your support!

  • @LFS I'm doing my best trying to keep the average score in the Swedish app store as high as possible.

Hopefully the tempo-automation, alternate time signatures (6/8 is NOT the same as 3/4) and more grid-line options make it to a future not too distant update.

It is a solid update for sure, and the Files.app implementation is sweet :)

Any plans to bring cubase to iphone? I know a lot of people
    would love that.

  • still no way to create subgroups/mixbusses?

  • Brilliant, off to update my review with another 5 stars. Subgroups would be fantastic. And a sampler to rival BM3's, unless an AU sampler is on its way from somewhere ..?

  • Worth its weight in pure Gold! A Must Have IMHO.
    Thanks Lars and team!

  • Been doing a lot of work in Cubasis lately and this update is great incentive :) thanks

  • Is anyone else having issues with Cubasis and the new Moog AU? I keep getting a distorted, unusable file if I freeze the track or if I do a mixdown. I've tried with another AUi and it works fine with that - it's just with the new Moog. iPad 2017.

    Hi Purpan,

We‘ve added an additional AU freeze/mixdown mode located in the setup (for instruments that consume lots of CPU and fail in regular freeze/mixdown mode).

CB-4237 Optional AU mixdown compatibility mode added to setup, for AU plug-ins that return noise or silence on export.

Please give it a try and let me know if it helps to solve the issue.

    Thanks,
    Lars

This worked for me where I was getting an empty freeze.
Is this one of the AUV3 bugs that needs to be fixed by Apple and is there any reason not to leave that option enabled for all plugins?

  • iOS11.3 should be out soonish so that might fix some of the core issues with AUv3...

Hi Lars, it's certainly much better. The only very small issue is that the start of the first note is still a little distorted. But it's certainly useable now. Thanks very much.

  • Lars you guys rock!!!! It works great! It’s slower but who cares it works!

    Thanks so much!

  • Wow the audio mixdown fix worked great and faster also! Big thanks!

  • Files!! Awesome!! AUv3 midi! Awesome!!

  • Major major update!!! Love Cubasis!

  • I am only using Beatmaker3 because of the sample browser management which is great. I was waiting so long for the Files integration with Cubasis but as I can see “subfolders” are yet not supported which in my humble opinion makes the browser functionality at least for me just not usable. If you copy one folder with subfolders all the subfolders will appear in the root folder...
Sorry for being the only one that seems not happy with the upgrade but I feel really frustrated with the browser limitations.. Apart from this Cubasis is GREAT (specially in the fx side) and I know that it is developed by a small team so a big thanks to them and hopefully they will improve the browser in the near future!

  • Cubasis as we all know is the bomb. Sounds great, behaves well, does lots of stuff. I’m hoping someday Lars will tell us that porting at least a basic mode into iPhone size would be do-able. It would be awesome to be able to airdrop songs from one to the other with effects and automations intact, so we could add tracks from our phones.

Forgive me but, how do y’all sync Black Wave in Cubasis? Blocs Wave is crucial to my ‘workflow’.. loving Cubasis otherwise..

Simply effective... No rocket science req.
