  • Had Auria sleeping so I attempted to download from my purchased list seems to load until about the third of the installment precursor is downloading then crashes using

  • PS rebooted Auria 5 times no luck

  • Wait for the next update to drop, hopefully tomorrow.

  • Rim is on top of this stuff! Thanks for the quick fix Rim.

I had the original Auria. Then upgraded to Pro. I have several FabFilter Plugins, but I don't have Pro-L. Should I still wait to update? ie. is this problem ONLY related to Auria LE/Upgraded to Pro with Pro-L?

Hmmm... maybe I'll just wait anyway. Not in a hurry, and if another update is soon comin' down the pike, I'd rather just do this once anyway.

I had original Auria and upgraded to Pro. The latest update crashes Auria with all existing FF plugins, even without installing or updating to Pro-L 2. I would wait it out if you use the FF stuff.

  • I upgraded from Auria to AuriaPro also. With the latest update ALL FabfilterPlugs make Auria crash.
    So DOŃT update!

  • Thanks for the heads up! Not in a hurry... will wait for it to shake out a bit first

  • I did upgrade...it was just for the adrenaline...

    And yes, it crashes

Now I already have plans for the next few days (Cubasis midi AU) so I can wait for RIM to correct this ;o)

  • Dudes, Rim has already submitted the updated fix (2.18) and I guess it’s already in the app store. I haven’t checked yet, I wanted to tell you folks first. THAT is a rapid fire response.

  • Happy to report the 2.18 update is excellent and fixes all issues Auria & Auria LE original users, who upgraded to Auria Pro in app through the Auria Store, were experiencing.

Bought the FabFilter Pro L2 upgrade and it’s been incredible. Pro L is still a hell of a limiter but L2 is flat out amazing.

Thanks to Rim for fixing the issues so quickly.

Just updated! Pro L2 is unbelievable!!!!

  • Doesn’t look like 2.18 is live yet in the Canadian App Store. Still just shows the one from earlier today. Bummer!

  • Yes, problem solved ! Thank you Rim

I bought the Fabfilter pro-L2 and this is amazing and really not that complex to use. I found a very interesting tutorial that gave me a lot of information on how to use it. Highly recommended

@Zen210507, Actually, I just tried it and the one instance showing that I assumed was still 2.17 is actually 2.18. click on the icon (rather than the 'Update' button) and check the version. Apparently, the new icon replaces the older one instead of showing as an additional instance.

Still waiting here too, still on 2.17, actually Apple auto updated the app last night because I was just going to wait, I haven’t opened any projects yet though

  • I have the original Auria upgraded to pro. There was another update yesterday and my version is now 2.18. Unfortunately I have to wait until the weekend to get an iTunes card to upgrade to Pro L2

So the update has been updated to the ‘safe’ 2.18, but those who bought Auria Pro itself, no upgrade, and currently still waiting in some territories. Strange.

Be patient I’m sure the wait will be worth it!

No choice but to wait. :) Plenty to get on with and enjoy in the mean time.

Are you sure about this? It's my understanding that 2.17 worked just fine for those with AP, but not with the upgraded version A-to-AP. Version 2.18 just fixes the issue for the upgraders, so it should work fine with those who bought Auria Pro. (That's why you're not seeing an additional update.)

This is from Rim on the Auria forum:

"This only affects Auria and Auria LE users (or users who have upgraded from Auria or LE to Pro).

In the mean time, I recommend NOT TO UPGRADE (unless you own Pro)."

  • Wow! Just made my first mix with ProL 2! A huge step forward! I'm editing the video now, but perhaps I'll upload the audio to Soundcloud to share here. LUFS metering is the real deal, folks! That coupled with Auria's AMAZING 10mm faders - I think I'm going to mix everything on Auria from now on!

@sch. By Jove, I think you have it surrounded. :) The 2.18 update isn’t appearing, because I don't need it. Thanks for the post!

  • Top tip: if you're trying to adjust the main gain fader in Pro L and you're struggling to get a precise value, for example if the value changes as you lift your finger, you can place a second finger somewhere else in the plugin window to get a more precise adjustment. This trick works with most dials in the FF plugins.

  • In fact, it works this way for all FabFilters, @richardyot!

  • Okay, just updated and bought FF Pro-L2.

Both AP and LP2 seem to load and work well. AP reports it is version 2.17, and no sign of further update in App Store.
