Yeah I was under the assumption that Pro is gonna stay on 2.17. If you have Pro youre already good to go.
I did have to reboot after gettng ProL2 though...maybe it was me switching through 48k/44k projects screwing up my iPad’s guts, but it produced a lot of static distortion on certain algorithms until I did reboot. Now all as well.
is it safe to update Auria Pro now - also I only see 2.17 available /uk app store. Do I have to upgrade to 2.17 first then upgrade to 2.18 after?

As far as I can make out, if you have Auria Pro, bought as Auria Pro NOT an upgrade, then 2.17 is the only update available, and safe. I updated with that one this morning, then bought FF Pro-L 2, and AP is still working....so far.
The 2.18 update seems to appear for and pertains to those who upgraded a standard Auria to the Pro version, as opposed to having them as separate purchases.
ok cool thanks for info
Ha yes, 2.17 works great for me, I can open the FF Plugins with no problems, I think they must have sent me a completely separate Auria Pro Code when it came out, very happy now
I’m ooking for clarification. I have an Air 2 running the latest iOS. I upgraded from the original Auria to Auria Pro. Is it safe for me to update to 2.18?
It seems that folks on the Auria Forum who upgraded from Auria or Auria LE to Auria Pro are having crash issues.
Hate to break it to some of you folks, but I had to delete and reinstall from scratch to get the 2.18 update to take, even after hard reset, etc.
I bought the original Auria before all of the LE and Pro versions. I eventually upgraded to Pro. I don’t have Pro-L but I have 3 or 4 other FabFilter plugins, and decided to wait for the 2.18 update anyway.
After it was reported 2.18 resolved the issues some were having, I went ahead and updated. Went fine, but a bit faster than I’d expected. After updated, I launched and everything seemed fine. No crashes and I could see the new Pro-L2 in the store, etc.
Only, when I checked my version number it still said 2.17. No idea if the update has a glitch and simply doesn’t update the version number? Or, if the update isn’t actually updating? But, it bugged me since the AppStore said the latest version is 2.18, my Auria is upgraded to Pro, and yet still showing 2.17 as it’s version number in settings.
So, I bit the bullet and deleted the whole thing. Such a PITA having to start over from the original Auria, then delete all the demo project stuff, then update again to Pro, then update restore all of my Auria purchases, etc.
When finished, I checked the version number in settings and it now says I’m running 2.18.
FYI
As a contrast, I updated my original A-to-AP to 2.18 on my Gen 1 iPad Pro 12.9 with zero issues.

Yes, this is the case. As someone who upgraded, you need the 2.18 update.
Anyone with Auria Pro as a stand alone, NOT upgraded, is on the 2.17 update.
I’m like you was wondering so I went ahead and updated to 2.18 and it’s working rock solid. Remember the only folks who don’t need to update to 2.18 are the ones who bought Auria Pro stand-alone and not the upgrade version.
Thanks for chiming in. Did you upgrade from Auria or Auria LE to Auria Pro? Which iPad are you on?
Thanks. Did you upgrade from Auria or Auria LE? You’re on an Air 2, right?
From Auria and I’m on IPad 2017 9.7”

Nope. The Air 2 fried.
This is on a Pro 10.5, and a straight installion of Auria Pro. NOT an upgrade.
I updated. All is well.
Air 2, iOS 11.3, Upgrade path: Auria to Auria Pro.
Mine is an Auria upgrade too, on an Air 2. I went to the App Store to update as soon as Rim posted that 2.18 was live, and my update said 2.18 on it. But I had all the problems. Next day I went back there was another update also saying 2.18, and that time it fixed everything! I wonder if my first update wasn’t 100% really the 2.18 version or something weird on my download. But the current update fixed it, and I love my new L-2!!!
Please explain if normal,
I purchased upgrade to L2, but does not show as installed on plugin page, still shows as 19.99 usd
However it does shows in plugins section , both L2 and L are showing
good news, So far had no crash with L2 ..... but only when I used Pro L
My understanding was once I upgrade that it would show as Pro L2 installed.
my version says 2.17 and cant find any 2.18 update

If you bought Auria Pro, as a stand-alone app, NOT an upgrade, then the latest version is 2.17. The 2,18 was on,y to fix problem for upgraded versions.
If all is well you should have access to both Pro-L 1 and 2.
Same thing happens to me. I thought I didn’t get it but it was available as an effect. So just keep Receipt.
