There might be a registry entry on Windows and a preset file stored somewhere on either OS, but typically with MacOS you just delete the AU and VST and you’re good to go.
Coolness. That's what I figured. thx
Lol, yeah... not sure what I was expecting either. Seems simple and straight forward. Given the cost I thought maybe there'd be some more parameters, emulation presets, etc. to play with or something. Nothing wrong with simplicity though. Either it's your jam or it ain't. Cool sound, but I think I'm covered for now. Thanks for the feedback.
Had a few problems with 3 AU instances crashing in Cubasis on iPad Pro 9.7 was Fine in AUM.

Klevgrand doesn't seem to have sales that much right? This might be the lowest it gets.
They do every now and then... but not very often, and not usually when everyone else is having sales either.
If it's something you really want, love the sound, and think you'll get a lot of use out of... I'd get it. For me, it's just a bit too basic and I can get a very similar sound with what I already have. I would've only got it for the convenience factor that it's easy to get that sound quickly with it. And, it's AUv3.
I likely would've snapped it up if it'd been under $5 for that reason.
If you don't have anything that does tape emulation already... this developer seems to keep their apps maintained and doesn't appear to be going anywhere. If they had an even better sale on this... I wouldn't expect it anytime soon since they've come out of the gate at the $8 mark. Maybe they'll do something in the Fall, black friday kind of thing... but other than that, if you want it I'd get it.
Same iPad, I was fine with 3 Cubasis instances earlier today, even with 6 or 7 more AUs loaded.
I thought the price was a little steep, which I hate to admit because I feel that most everything is crazy cheap on iOS, but I caved because I’m just a man... and I’m finding this incredibly useful. Like, it’s really really nice on a lot of stuff. I don’t care for tape nostalgia, but I care about how things sound. This is a very useful sound manipulator. The character isn’t like any other iOS effect. Only wish the machine warble was slower (or adjustable), but pair this with Aleksandar Mlazev’s Vibrato (both dials near zero) and feel the waaaaaarm waves.
Current iOS prices warrant a smaller price tag, but perhaps this is priced with the future of iOS in mind? Who knows...
Hmm I've been playing around with the desktop demo for thirty-odd minutes and I think I like it. It doesn't get quite as gnarly as I had hoped it would but the effect is pretty impressive -- at moderate settings, it genuinely sounds like I'm listening to a cassette. More extreme settings get pretty sloppy.
I do wish you had some control over the warble rate. I like a really slow, seasick churn and this one is more "fluttery." Overall, I'm impressed and will most likely pick up a license before the sale ends.
Dev is a bit busy with family commitments, will be investigating missing params in Cubasis next week.
Bought this and Grand Finale yesterday. Seems like a dev worth supporting.
This is an amazing app.
I would tell you buy it.
SRS
now read my second comment, lol
I thought that WebCassette was a novelty, but when this dropped and I really got a chance to dig in it quickly became my favorite "dirt" app for drums especially. Drum machines sound fantastic with the input gain cranked....
Can also confirm that there are some bugs to be ironed out.
Cubasis with multiple tracks with DAW cassette applied. When loading the project up from scratch - some instance do not load showing a blank module.
Report to dev but not heard back just yet.
Awesome AUV3 though!
From first time I heard it, I’ve been trying and failing to get the Jimmy Page guitar tone from Black Dog. Finally nailed it completely by accident when I tossed it on to a guitar riff. I had heard that he played through a reel to reel tape machine at times, but never made the connection or had a way to try it out.
Also updated... currently desktop only. iOS will follow!!!
New in v1.1
Bleed amount (crosstalk between channels)
Tape head tilt angle
Noise gain and type
Four-band peak EQ
v1.1 is at the moment desktop only, iOS on the way
The free app Tape Cassette 2 sounds much better to my ears.
It is.
Maybe this update will get rid of the horrible aliasing.
Nice, can’t wait for the update to hit IOS
Update is out
