  • As much as 15 bucks is an amazing launch price, I was expecting to pay more.

Yeah sorry everyone I’ll play the roll of curve breaker. Soz. Just think you should be compensated accordingly.

@giku_beepstreet si there will be initial sale ? What a pity, so i must wait until sale ends - because i want to pay full price ;-) I have golden rule to not buy amazing apps in sale, just for regular price ;-)

I think if you buy it quickly and five star it right away (cause you know it is already in pure thread value) that maybe you will be contributing to the statistical data that gives it a lot of important initial exposure / app store bump which may be more valuable. Data data graph jargon stuffs.

What about full price as preorder, then sale after release ? To give opportunity to those of us who wants fully appreciate your work ...

I am sure a sale price right after preorder at full price would be... an interesting social experiment to witness... with popcorn

Matt did that with NS2 with... debatable.... results lol. I was happy to pay full price, but a lot of people were not :/

rankings are displayed per-country, aren't they ? I'm from small unimportant country where lives less people than in some big US cities :-))) Don't think that rank of music app has any importance or significant impact to global sales :-)))

It's good chance i'm the only one in our whole country who will buy Drambo in first few weeks (at least) :))))

I think there are some aspects of Apple ranking that bleed over region to region, but yah probably not as potent.

Guys! You almost convinced me, the launch price should be higher ;)

Fair enough. Can you at least disclose where this pawn shop is with the bootleg code?
If it requires travel it's a push unless it's somewhere my wife wants to visit. Will the pawnshop have multiple copies and do I need jailbreak my iPad to use the cheaper version?
How does Apple feel about this attack on their monopoly.

OS X versions too. This could be the biggest think ever!!! I'll start an OT thread to discuss.
    Can I get a beta?

How about an In App Purchase for having it released now?

I’d buy beta access right now lol

  • Since it's a modular based groovebox...will the midi cc's be saved and restored per project? In that way i could build several templates with different purposes

Hell, yeah! I'd buy into the beta with a NFRA (No Feature Request Agreement).

  • release the beta to the bus 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

I’d pay $50 AUD for this without a single thought

No, it was stated before that it wasn't open for any beta testers because it would complicate things and slow development down at this point. I was just saying I'd buy in under the stipulation that I keep my damned mouth shut and don't distract giku.

Would you pay more? At what price would you just watch and drool.
    The B-3X for $100 stopped me and I KNOW it's a killer B3 emulation.
No IAP's and much better than some IAP infected products I have "invested" in
    to the tune of $100+.

The Fab Filter Bundle was $129 on sale and I fell like that was a good value but out of reach
for most IOS users. Thankfully, ToneBoosters and Eventide have provided tools at a lower cost.

So, there are Apps I resisted and waited for the sale price like NanoStudio 2. After buying into the Cult I get the value.

If Drambo is $50 it will sell a lot fewer copies so the trick is finding the way to max out
initial profits. Chris Randall selling Audio Damage apps with a clear "volume" benefit tilted towards the expectations of the IOS users and admits e makes the same profit for a $79
desktop plug-in and an $8 IOS instance.

A $50 IOS instance would hot have wide acceptance. Do you have Cubasis 3 yet at $50? I'm just waiting for Black Friday on that one. For $50+ spent now I got:

    Monokone ($9),
IMPUSation (I held back and paid $15),
AudioKit L7 Looper ($4) ("Don't you be L7" - Wooly Bully - Question Mark and the Mysterians),
    Spring Reverb ($10)
    and Jazz Drummer ($19)

That should keep me busy for a while.

The Drambo reading/commenting has also helped distract me.

Haha yes, I’d keep my mouth shut and then buy it again once the official release came out

I get all the hype/ the great deal we get on iOS/ the amazing bang to buck ratio of apps/rewarding devs appropriately/the incredible excitement around what looks like a really impressive app. I definitely want Drambo. For £15 I will definitely buy it. BUT: More than that... ah, maybe not.

I live on a budget, and I have precisely one app of the dozens purchased that I paid a premium price for, I think it was £50 (Cubasis 2), right at the start of my iPad music making journey after seeing Doug demo it on The Sound Test Room. I’m not looking to upgrade to Cubasis 3 any time soon. With ‘premium’ apps, I wait for Black Friday and see what happens. That’s why Wolfgang Palm, a man who quite rightly values his own work highly, and never, it seems, discounts, has yet to make a penny off me, though I love what I have seen of his synths.

Wishing good things for devs and a fairer world doesn’t make me suddenly richer. So - fingers crossed I can get to use Drambo. If not, I really haven’t got into the amazing mirack app I picked up at Black Friday yet. I’ll survive.

  • $15-$20 intro price sounds and looks fair (I’m not a beta tester), especially if that’s half price. In many ways it seems a DAW alternative, or maybe loosely sort of like Gadget in terms of multiple instruments in a package.

Yes, that possibly take it out of spur of the moment purchases, but also establishes it as a premium instrument/tool set. As seems true.

  • I felt compelled to make a “getting started video” with where the beta is at now. I don’t know where that compulsion comes from as you will see my video editing skills are relatively nonexistent and for now I’m just screen recording with a mouse :)

This is not an official video with the endorsement of the developer! Giku gave me the go ahead to make a video and offered some feedback on an earlier one, but it’s solely my own interpretation of how the app works, etc.

Anyways, it’s an overview of some of the basic features in the current iteration of Drambo. If that’s something you want to see, you can watch me clown through it.

WOW. This really reminds me of the Deluge in terms of the end result, but the modular system seems to have way more going on under the hood. Still watching the video but curious about AU3 apps and MIDI.

thank you 🙏 this is great

  • My my this is so good. I hope this comes out soon ! :)

  • Seems to be a great combination of Modstep and Beatmaker. Could this be the live performance app I've been waiting for??

  • @jameslondon74 i will likely do a few more these. Midi in and out works great.
