I think you answered your own question there chief.
The bit below is not directed at you, but to ‘the team’, unless you’re part of it, in which case, it is.
For some of us lesser beings on the outside, this very dominant thread is a frustrating place to visit. A forum within a forum with a closed membership. Yeah I know, if you don’t like it don’t read it blah blah, but it’s here, and I do. And when I do, every month or so, I’ll see a bunch of posts saying it’s imminent (whoopee), and other bunch saying it’s still ‘a work in progress’ (oh). Like today.
So any attempts at keeping the thread ‘focused’ are falling very short - not by the great unwashed who dare to ask when it will be ready - but by those supposedly in the know. Mixed messages. Raised hopes.
So don’t kick those of us who pop in to try to find out when we can give the developer our money, sort yourselves out, and provide a unified response for potential customers who have a genuine desire to purchase the app you’ve all enjoying using for the last two years.
Please.
It was sarcasm (or more accurately, irony) - directed as much at myself as the other person. 😂😂😂
Not funny if you have to explain - so I guess I completely failed.😎
Actually, the coronarubbish has taken the heat out of Drambo for me (or put it into trivial context), but I do think that releasing it now with the encouragement to use it while isolating would be a nice touch/consideration by the developer etc.
No it was....I wasn’t completely sure though, hence the disclaimer at the top...just in case.
Carry on!
If @AudioGus doesn't get a complimentary code for that effort then there is no justice in the world.
Ah that's beyond my power to grant, but well done
Look, someone is going to have to help us hit 200 pages and The Clash don’t have a deep enough discography to get us there.
some commenters here seem to be confusing 'the team' with the dev. None of the testers have any more knowledge than you all as to when the release date is. It feels very close to being ready, but it's not up to anyone except for the one person who is working around the clock to build this thing.
'the team' is working diligently to assure that that the basic functionality is solid upon release so that the man can then focus on the endless todo list and building new modules. Releasing it before the foundation is 100% solid would be a mistake.
we've all got hundreds of great apps to use in the meantime. if this thread makes your blood boil, then remove yourself from the boiling pot and make some music.
I don't think any of us will miss the news once giku drops the release date. There will probably be 10 new threads sounding the alarms.
To those spreading the fake news that Giku is developing this purely for his own endless enjoyment and that the beta team is somehow just egging him on to keep it all for themselves.. you really couldn't be further from the truth. Not a single one of you here wants this to be done more than the dev himself. You think he doesn't want to get paid for his labor?
He's wise enough to know that a cake gets fucked up when you take it out of the oven too soon.

OK this one's gonna mess with your head. In this grid are 3 variations of the Drambo icon, but only one variation is correctly coloured. To complicate things, they are shown in multiple orientations. Find all the icons which are correctly coloured
I've seen people comparing Drambo to the Nord Modular's editor. I loved how fast its UI was. Prefered it over most other software modulars. Hopefully Drambo is close.
Is Drambo's p-locking really like Elektron's? Or is it like Grooverider, which isn't similar. With Elektron p-locking, there is a default value that it snaps back to. Plus there are parameter lock glides.
Any responses I made to your post were completely for fun. Didn’t mean to imply you did anything wrong. Sorry if it seemed that way.
Keeping a sense of humor is some people’s way of staying calm. On the bright side, there’s some truly funny stuff salted about these many pages.

It IS a little bit weird, the giddy delight and grand assurances of the beta team that OH, this app will change everything. But who cares? It's fun to be in on a secret! And if people don't want to participate, you know, don't read the thread!
Similarly, I would assume that those who don't want to participate in my new thread, DRAMBO FANBOYS SUFFER FROM A STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT INCIDENCE OF ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION, you know, those guys won't post in that one, either.
But,but... The Clash’s discography is actually quite deep. Five albums (not counting Cut the Crap), one of which was a double, another was a triple. Plus - numerous non-album (and great) singles and interesting bootlegs. Most were not hits - those came in the latter and IMHO somewhat inferior latter half. I’m willing to talk about it if anyone wants to do so. Might be better than the anxious mutterings about Drambo. I’ll be here... (sound of whistling)
i think we just wanna know when we are actually gonna get to jam on it and then most people will be chill
@alb
We all agree that Side 5 of "Sandinista!" is the true devotee's favorite moment, yes?
You’re so wrong. They have like 4 songs and I’m cool because I know a 5th one that other people don’t know.
Saying they have a deep discography is like saying that Cliff Burton was the backbone of Metallica. Everyone knows they really shined with St. Anger.
My irony detector is totally broken, I think. Or is he saying that the only band that matter(ed)....doesn't?
If someone praising St. Anger doesn’t trigger your sarcasm detector, I don’t know if anyone can help you.
I actually have no idea what St. Anger is. The only thing I know about Metallica is that they would play "Enter Sandman" before Mariano Rivera would come on to pitch the bottom of the ninth in Yankee Stadium.
Coming on to this thread to complain about the thread is like seeing a car out of the corner of your eye, running in front of it, and then complaining that you keep getting hit.
😂😂😂
I feel like Drambo could be a perfect software foundation for a modern standalone groovebox, with touchscreen OLED & plenty of IO. Throw in both 12 & 16 bit AD/DA and enough inputs to serve as a mixer and this thing would sell like hotcakes. Take my $1500!
I’m sure iOS musicians won’t mind if the dev scraps plans for an app release and focuses on the HW direction? No?
I laughed so you didn’t fail 100%.
Or how about a dedicated controller? Something you can plug your iPad into.
Any news on the release date? World events may coincide very nicely with a lot of time at home!
I'm flying in on a DC10 tonight.
You’ve/they/him/whoever made the decision - decided to conduct development of a music app on a public forum, so you’re going to attract attention of the members of it. Be a bit more professional in your replies, you're not doing the developer any favours by alienating potential customers.
