Look, someone is going to have to help us hit 200 pages and The Clash don’t have a deep enough discography to get us there.

But,but... The Clash’s discography is actually quite deep. Five albums (not counting Cut the Crap), one of which was a double, another was a triple. Plus - numerous non-album (and great) singles and interesting bootlegs. Most were not hits - those came in the latter and IMHO somewhat inferior latter half. I’m willing to talk about it if anyone wants to do so. Might be better than the anxious mutterings about Drambo. I’ll be here... (sound of whistling)

You’re so wrong. They have like 4 songs and I’m cool because I know a 5th one that other people don’t know.

Saying they have a deep discography is like saying that Cliff Burton was the backbone of Metallica. Everyone knows they really shined with St. Anger.

My irony detector is totally broken, I think. Or is he saying that the only band that matter(ed)....doesn't?

If someone praising St. Anger doesn’t trigger your sarcasm detector, I don’t know if anyone can help you.

  • I actually have no idea what St. Anger is. The only thing I know about Metallica is that they would play "Enter Sandman" before Mariano Rivera would come on to pitch the bottom of the ninth in Yankee Stadium.

  • Coming on to this thread to complain about the thread is like seeing a car out of the corner of your eye, running in front of it, and then complaining that you keep getting hit.

    😂😂😂

  • I feel like Drambo could be a perfect software foundation for a modern standalone groovebox, with touchscreen OLED & plenty of IO. Throw in both 12 & 16 bit AD/DA and enough inputs to serve as a mixer and this thing would sell like hotcakes. Take my $1500!

I’m sure iOS musicians won’t mind if the dev scraps plans for an app release and focuses on the HW direction? No? ;)

It was sarcasm (or more accurately, irony) - directed as much at myself as the other person. 😂😂😂

Not funny if you have to explain - so I guess I completely failed.😎

    I laughed so you didn’t fail 100%.

Or how about a dedicated controller? Something you can plug your iPad into.

  • Any news on the release date? World events may coincide very nicely with a lot of time at home!

You’ve/they/him/whoever made the decision - decided to conduct development of a music app on a public forum, so you’re going to attract attention of the members of it. Be a bit more professional in your replies, you're not doing the developer any favours by alienating potential customers.

We all agree that Side 5 of "Sandinista!" is the true devotee's favorite moment, yes?

Not for me. The true moment was the song “48 Hours” off of the import-only first album. Never made it onto the US release. Everyone has their own litmus test.

What are you talking about? Who are you addressing? I’m assuming me since you quoted? What does it matter that it’s a public forum? People hate this thread and come in to complain that they hate the thread. What about my comment is unprofessional? Especially since it has nothing to do with the app. How has anything I’ve said alienated anyone at all? If any of my comments keep you from buying the app that is plainly absurd and the problem is you. Search through them and find one thing I’ve said that could possibly be damaging to the perception of the app.

    Ha!
I remember being baffled by "Sandinista!" after Side One and then, once I stopped resisting, I came to love it. It was the "difficult" side, but it also had "Junkie Slip" and "Charlie Don't Surf."

I liked Sandinista! Ok, but felt they were losing their focus - a fair amount of filler on that. It could have have been a great single or double album I think. My favorite period was the first three albums - The Clash (import and US versions), Give em Enough Rope, the many singles, London Calling. When they started to unravel, I felt absolutely crushed as only a teenager can be. Strummer could only keep it together for so long...

Well the sarcastic comment you made that I commented on is hardly going to create positive vibes is it?

Or did you think taking the piss out of people visiting the thread to see if it’s been released yet, potential customers as I like to think of them, was a good idea?

That sparked an idea.....an Angus module for Drambo, that uses the camera to check your level of Gurn and modulate accordingly :D
