The concept has been reworked. :) Some info for now:

    • Racks are nested. Module may contain another rack. This cleaned up the interface a lot.
    • Tracks, sequencers and clocks are modules. So basically you build what you want by yourself: instrument, effect, midi effect, multitrack drum machine (using sequencer, drum synth modules and mixers) or whatever crazy you can imagine.
    • You may use multiple sequencers synchronized to different clock modules. Everything may be modulated. e.g. sequencing drums with 2 sequencers that are not in sync is funny :)
    • TODO: There will be modules that handle scenes or manipulate parameters of succeeding modules. e.g. randomize all params per step.
    • All resources: custom modules, templates, samples are stored on iCloud drive

So... this thing is difficult and I need some more time. (as always ;)

Sounds great. As regards interface, is it possible you make it very friendly to building a macros/widgets page you can use while performing with a project so you can design a single page that can control the parameters you like on the tracks you like all from one place with the buttons, sliders and x/y boxes of your choice. Very important for live play.

    Thanks a lot.

Are you building the new SuvNox?

  • Thats the goal. I don't want to simplify things by introducing another things. So modules make the interface. If you want performance buttons / sliders you just add a "Performance controller module". All most important modules may be lied out on the top rack.

Yes and no. The only common part is that its modular. The biggest difference is UI and the concept. Its more like Reaktor blocks or Live racks: no cables, convenient drag'n'drop interface, instant access to parameters.

e.g. If modular is to much, you just load a drum machine template, that already looks like a dedicated app.

    Sounds v interesting.

SonVux is near perfect for me, the timeline especially.
Only drawback is lack of connectivity.
    AUv3 would make it killer.

    Wow,

Soon all I’m going to need is Drambo, Turnado, Loopy and loads of controllers including BopPad (and AB/AUM of course!).

Getting to grips of deep editing in Turnado while waiting.

Sounds like this thing is going to be pretty awesome :) Keep going and take all the time you need to make it fulfill it's promise

  • Working on the app core - a solid foundation with minimum number of modules. Once its ready I gonna release beta and then focus on the rest.

  • Sounds epic! Looking forward to seeing this in action...

  • @giku_beepstreet is it possible to show us a few screenshot teasers?

Dagger AUv3? (Sorry could not resist).

And while I have the attention, for the next Sunrizer update consider enabling 'edge protection' to avoid the lag when using the onscreen keyboard.(lowest part of the screen).

Don’t want to sidetrack the thread, but did you know SunVox has MIDI out? What I do it load my AUv3 instruments in Auria, insert a MultiSynth in SunVox not connected to anything and set its MIDI out to Auria on the channel for that AUv3 in Auria, and just go crazy. Bonus: you can set Auria’s MIDI out MTC and Clock on the Settings page to SunVox so the Auria timeline triggers the timeline in SunVox.

@giku_beepstreet Is the sequencer module a step sequencer (a la StepPolyArp) or piano roll? Or both! Please say both...

There will be many sequencers: xox, piano roll, weird arps, etc..

That's probably the bit of connectivity I am least interested in. SV is so frugal with the CPU that I would love if it could be placed anywhere in the signal path as effects and or synth generators.

To bring the conversation back into the thread I was just wondering whether this was the sort of role that Drambo could play @giku_beepstreet ?

So Beepstreet build the Reaktor for iOS ;)
So far i must say it sounds amazing and i hope the plan to make it universal will work as well.
So could we also build synths (like Zeeon) with this?

  • @giku_beepstreet :
Modular seems like the way to go as it will allow you to tweek and add various components. Maybe this has been covered earlier, but I would be happy to pay IAPs for new modules after the dust settles on the initial release.
