I look forward to the new AB MIDI Filter feature. Thanks, Cem!

As far as the rate, I understand that different rates would make it harder to manage. I am sure it is more complicated having each step have their own rate. Did you try just allow us to set all the steps to the same rate rather than each step having a different rate? Being able to set all the steps to 1/8, 1/16 etc and dotted notes would be a great improvement to just straight 1/4 notes.

You might want to use master knob under the property selection list. It sets each step's selected property at once.

  • Right. That works of course in the Pitch Sequencer but I was wondering if we could have master knob functionality with the Interval Sequencer. Having different Rates in the Interval Sequencer would be more complicated with time syncs as you said earlier but I was hoping that we could at least have more than just 1/4 note option in the Interval Sequencer.

  • @Howard new version is released. Now you can use ArpBud as Audiobus MIDI filter/effect.

  • That's great, Cem! I will download it and try it out tonight. :)

Have you thought about whether you can add something like that master knob functionality to the rate in the Interval Sequencer so this way they can all be 1/4 notes or 1/8 or 1/16 etc or is that simply not doable?

  • I added add/remove buttons at the end of the sequencers in the new version v1.5. Now you can add/remove steps without having to open settings menu :)

  • Gotta grab this! Best of luck @cem_olcay with the AUv3 version.

OK, so I love this app. Love the simple approach that belies it's complexity. Cool.

    I have a question ...
1)I started up a 5 note sequence. Toppermost section - interval sequencer. Plays 5 notes as expected.
2)Then in the Pitch Sequencer section, I changed pitches. No matter what I cannot figure out why it always plays four (4) consecutive notes of the same setting. Unless I use the "loop" setting.

Am I missing something? I thought I was going to be able to change the number of pitches for each of those "pitched sequences". Perhaps I am misunderstanding the intention of this.

Great app and cannot wait to dig in more.

    edited for clarity, hopefully

I was checking out the updated ArpBud last night. When I switch parameter groups on the left side column, the step values do not change to show their current values for this parameter group.
The step values only show the current value if I try to change the value. Then they get stuck in that parameter value until I try to change it again.
I end up with different steps showing parameters from different parameter groups at the same time, which is pretty confusing to keep track of what is actually showing.
Also, if I use the dials to change values, the values jump around as soon as I touch the dial. I have no idea what the value was before I touched the dial.
And nothing updates visually when I use the master dial in the left side column, so I have no idea what I am setting the values to be.

I am on an iPad Air2 running 11.4.1.

  • are there any videos of this app, it sounds interesting

  • love the app but it’s having some issues. every time I add or subtract a step buy hitting plus or minus. it drops my midi out connection to whatever synth i have going.

  • Can this app function as a standard arpeggiator from keyboard input, or is it only a sequencer?

It isn't a sequencer, it needs keyboard input. It's an arp, a non-traditional one, that gives you a lot of options.

Tnx bro. I will have to look to see if you made a video on it.

  • I did. By the way, you're in the arp bud thread, but there is now a new arp bud 2 thread!
