Are there any AU usage scenarios that put it full screen ?

    I use garageband to record

    I will get AUM

Check beatmaker. The only iOS host with any real ongoing ambition built around the environment ....

Full screen working fine in bm3. Be cool if wasn’t one sample per view tho (pink vs blue)

One thing to consider when using BM3 is that until the next update (3.1) there is a bug where many AU parameters in various AUs do not show up/automate properly. Cubasis seems to have a solid AU parameter hookup to me.

  • @deltaVaudio Full screen AU is fine for me.

  • @deltaVaudio Kind of an odd request, but...

Would it be possible for you to post those two demo audio samples included with the app to SoundCloud or other place?

It seems like there is quite a lot variety in these long samples, like they are composites of many smaller, individual samples. I would like to hear them straight and unaffected to get a better idea for my own samples to use.

The demo samples in app sound extremely awesome. I just want a solid idea of why.

  • Agree, the default sampler is wery good

  • @CracklePot no problem, it's the least I can do considering the positive encouragement I've had around here. I'll put the files on my website with a description of the instruments/techniques I used to produce them (hopefully tonight).

Currently #1 in UK AppStore, congrats and looking forward to updates. Mainly importing samples and saving, followed by AU would be awesome :)

  • I actually have both sections running at the same time on iPad 10.5 inch, but I need to draw the window until the very bottom to see both (then I get in touch with the iOS dock easily).

Best thing for me in AUv3 plugin using is you don’t have to change the apps anymore. AUM is handling everthing and all other apps/plug-ins are just smaller (or larger) popup Windows. I like that.
(And of course, statesaving, multiple instances and sync stuff)

  • AUM is great because it gives an almost full screen implementation with no keyboard (rather than a thin row like in some other hosts).

I'm considering adding an option to 'force two' so that you can see both blue and pink (the current implementation switches based between 1 and 2 based entirely on aspect ratio). There's no reason to only have one when using this 'mostly full screen' format.

    Force two FTW!

    +1! Yeah!

  • It’d be nice to be able to sync the two sequencers, maybe there could be a free, and sync mode.

  • @MonzoPro one thing that I'm 100% including is the sync feature. There will be an option in grain control settings to enable sync to the host bpm. the grain freq will then be a controllable multiple of the host bpm. So if you enable sync on both sequencers they will be in sync with each other.

    Fantastic, thank you!

  • This will be huge!!!

    Mindblowing!

It's available for ipad and iphone now, but the best experience is on the ipad as you can see and play both grain engines (blue and pink) simultaneously.

oh awesome.thanks i’m buying it now

If I could suggest number 5 in your list it would be a proper naming of the midi controlable paramters...
It would make modulation a lot easier.
    Please :)

Yes! I did trial and error to figure out some of them (see my post earlier in this thread). Having more relevant names would be great!

  • I love this app! If nothing changes I’m still all good with this! Great stuff deltaVaudio! It’s going to get more stuff? Oh wow!

  • @deltaVaudio please go with your gut on how you think your already excellent app should evolve, and don’t fall into the trap of trying to include every demanded feature from the loud peanut gallery.

You’ll end up with cryptic feature creep that utterly destroys the intuitive simplicity your app has that everyone fell in love with.

Facts. You’ve created something special without us, now you can take the feedback that fits your vision and fine tune it. We’re here to help, as long as it’s helpful. :)

Sync/divisions options will be mind blowing :)

would love to see a full chromatic scale option added at some point too. Octaves/scales are cool a lot of the time but sometimes I want a specific series of notes for a drone or pattern that aren’t in the current scaled notes options and having to try and smudge the pitch x/y pad to find it brings the ship down ;)

Agree with you, a good start is chromatic and of course the modes are a important. Thumbjam is the master for choice of scales.

I wouldn’t call tempo sync or many of the other suggestions ‘cryptic’.

Useful, is what I’d call them.

Features that will make an incredible app even better.

And they’re being ‘suggested’, not ‘demanded’.

    Quite right, Mr Monzo.

Some of the friendly, well intentioned discussion appears to have been lost in translation. :)

Several here know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. New dev hit it out of the park on first try. Then the peanut gallery chimes in with everything they think will make the app “even better”.

Fast forward a few weeks, the new dev has tried to shoehorn in every single custom feature from the loudest in the gallery. Now the once elegant and intuitive app has become some Frankenstein app that only those who were the most adamant to customize your app to their own personal liking... even understands how to use it anymore. The rest of the users get confused and move on.

The dev wonders where all the love dissipated to. And not a peep from the peanut gallery.

We’ve all seen this play out time and time again.

@deltaVaudio take advise from other devs who know this all too well. Just go with the same intuition that led you to this wonderful app in the first place, and pick and choose which suggestions are indeed inline with your own vision.

Congrats on hitting it out of the park on your first try! :)

Shut up, please. This is a great, positive thread about a brilliant app. Don’t mess it up with your usual pot-stirring, creating divisions where there weren’t any.
