I made about 6 pieces with this last night, to stave off the boredom of a night in a B&B. I’m going to use them as the basis for an ambient soundscape project I’ve only just thought up. I’ll import them into Reason for editing and other synthy overdubs - but amazed how this has already settled into my workflow.
Five star app review coming up...
I believe he means copying what you sampled in one grain player to the other grain player.
I would +1 this request, but maybe just being able to access AudioShare would do the trick for this as well. Just load the sample in from AudioShare, instead of copying. Couple extra steps, but I wouldn’t really mind.
@oat_phipps any audio you load into spacecraft will be lost when you restart the app. It only exists in RAM. Some people asked for option to save that source audio to a file also which would be good if you record something epic with the mic and don't want to lose it. Still figuring out the best way forward for file IO in general.

Eh? I thought you were the son of Thomas Jerome Newton.

If it were possible to save the settings, including the path to an audio source, that would be a great option.
...and live timestretch « a la BM3 » would be incredible (and make me pay for this, I don’t care)
That would probably suffice for me if you could record the clean sampled audio direct into AudioShare.
I would imagine a “Duplicate” button might be easier to code and save a step or two.
Duplicating on the fly would also reduce the need to periodically clean out all the unwanted attempts sampled direct to AudioShare.
I considered asking for a “copy control settings” too but I quite like trying to get them to line up and the randomness that comes from not being able to do that 100%
Thanks as always to all of you for the feedback and suggestions.

Very welcome.
BTW, I’d just like to point out that SpaceCraft, right out of the blocks, iteration 01, already remembers what folder it was last looking in. I’ve been trying to get the makers of Auria Pro to do that for years,
by the way if it hasn't been requested yet I would be remiss if I didn't ask for intelligent randomization!!!
>
Isn’t that what we do when moving the focal point?
Gave Spaceship a 5 star written review love to see this go up the charts.
Yeah you can already randomize the output by applying random LFOs to the AUv3.
So I'm just hoping the AU is made in better functional shape with state-saving, syncing with host tempo and midi input for the keys.
I may be wrong here, but is the problem that your app is requesting to open from iCloud rather than just the general files app. Even if iCloud is disabled the files app should work and give access to locally stored app content (such as Audioshare) and also third party cloud storage like DropBox. I thought this was the best way forward, rather than individual apps add and maintain the DropBox API, the files app is used and let DropBox maintain its own syncing to that. Again, I might be talking bollox here and this is only relevant to iOS 11 +
Not being able to save is a hindrance and also an opportunity.
Knowing I cannot save makes me stay with the app and get the most out of it.
I like the creative headspace : Use it or lose it

I love this thing. In some ways, it feels like a descendant of Space Vibe. Very well done.

Oops, my mistake. Back when I had this iPad serviced, the Apple techs made some changes they didn’t tell me about. I’m still discovering them. One, it turns out, was switching on iCloud, when I had previously turned it off. Sorry for the confusion.
No problem, it happens. Can’t wait for the update.
As far as non icloud ....audioshare seams to be a pretty popular way to get audio in and out.
Spacecraft is so much fun together with Rozeta LFO!
really, how do you assign midi rozeta lfo to different parameters?
>
Yes, that one has me baffled, too.
If you use it as an AUFX in AUM it works the usual way.

Hmmm. I have SpaceCraft loaded as an FX, but can’t see it when I try to connect Rozetta LFO
Weird, it works fine for me.
weird i can load it as AU bu only in fx slot, it won’t load as Au in instrument slot. And if i try to load a sample while in the fx slot it just kills all audio.
Maybe it will be fixed in the update coming out later today. I can wait to be able to load my
own samples in.
Load it as an IAA in the fx slot. It will appear toward the bottom of the list of IAA apps.

Yes, that is a current limitation, which I believe will be addressed, but not with the imminent update.
>
Tried that, too. SpaceCraft loaded, but Rozetta midi mapping still doesn’t see it.
