So far, just playing with the demo and starting to build a new track…. This is a MONSTER APP!!! WOW!!! So far, very stable on my iPad 2.
Of course, I haven't had a chance to load it to the limits yet or try a lot all the features out, but, awesome sounding tempo shifting, great loops included, smoking ability to sequence keys/bass/drums using built in samples and imported samples…. And, need to double-check that it's good w/ MIDI syncing….
This thing, along with my new jump to Cubasis, will probably 95% of what I use for sequencing from here forward….
I just hoping that it's stable as I push it...
Keep us informed, I'm very much interested in using this for the core of my new live sets!
I think it has Midibus SDK.
anyone concerning whether upgrading to iOS7's still a bad idea or not? I have purchased BIAS and TNR-e (while they're on sale - from itunes on my iMac) and am curious about the new chord progression analysis feature in Yamaha's MMS.. to name but a few itches...
What's wrong with iOS7? Been using it since day one here, works fine.
aww man. just woke up. i thought it was gonna be $15? ok ill buy. if its good i'll shut up and post everywhere its greatest app ever. if it sucks i will never forget i paid extra $5 and promoted it only to get ripped
Oh hey...everybody's here!

And you can blame me for my post above...
Well, I have a buck in my account. At least it isn't an intro price. There is a lack of solid grooveboxes on ios.
@Tarekith you do realize there's a shitload of discussions, posts, rants, articles, tweets, disclamers, warnings, opinions, reports.. all over the web - since it came out don't you? especially adressing the mobile music community.. I hear you, and beleive you (you must also be aware the upgrade has apparently worked fine for some, and been a nuisance, sometimes even disastrous, for others) but your answer is funny - and misleading - as it makes no note of that (making it sound as if i'm asking a strange question coming out of nowhere..)
Calm down, please, let's focus to the app.
IOS7 only, Guess I can save some money, I do not have room to update to IOS 7 lol. A new Ipad next spring perhaps then I will try it.
I'm so mean...
Am I right in thinking this is (basically) one part loop player/mangler, one part FM synth with a piano roll sequencer and one part drum/one shot sequencer sprinkled with some FX on top, that you use to build a track or scene?

You don't?But isn't iOS7 already automatically downloaded to your device, sucking up 3GB of space in the background and just waiting for you to push the"install"button? You might check your software update page again if the info is new to you ;-)
Remember that update/install via wifi usually takes more room on your device (even twice).

you are right,i forgot about that.
@ChrisG plus a part: Loop Slicer…. and all noobs in the app are modulable (with double click) with Envelope, Lfo or Key follower…
@Sebastian Grrrrrrr!!!

haha...sorry i usually don't make jokes about anybodies english (mine isn't the best either)but the imagination about modulating noobs just made my day
Lol.
@Crabman sorry…knobs
@Sebastian trade it all my beta for this AB2
can i use ifunbox to transfer my own samples into it instead of itunes? For a future update, an easier way to get samples into it would be nice feature. thnx
was able to sync Cubasis and Electrify NXT using MidiBus. But, had to manually enter the tempo to match up w/ Cubasis tempo… (trying to slave Electify NXT to Cubasis…)
EDIT:
-Didn't show up in AudioBus input list at first. After restart, it's there now…
-Is working well as master to Robotic Drums.
-Doesn't seem to slave directly to BeatMaker 2, either...
This is one awesome Grrovebox. I'll join Sebastian in being mean. Photo doesn't show all that's under the hood. Excellent samples and you can add your own.

Yes, sorry to go on and on, but this is a benchmark setting app! No doubt… Awesome is the right word! I promise to stop going on and on :-)
Will keep posts to reporting on any technically info I find as I play w/ it some more. If ok w/ all, I'll add any xtra info like this as an edit to the post above.

No it is not on my ipad thankfully! I have checked and it says it is not but if I free up space it says I can get it. I just got caustic and am very happy with that however!
Thanks @sinapsya.
The sound content, is it mostly ready loops, and if so, is it versatile enough to slice and dice those loops into your own thing? It says 1600 loops, I read that as "here's an app if you don't wanna make the music yourself, just slap some loops together and voila". Hmm gonna have to wait for some videos to popup I think.
Taking a little while to get used to the new interface. So much depth hidden below the surface!
At the moment is the only way to get your own samples in by iTunes sample transfer?
I thought I read it supports audio copy? So should be able to paste samples...?
