NOTE: I wanted to comprehend Wavetable Synthesis after reading about Wolfgang and the PPG history: for $3 Scythe shows the wavetables in the GUI. I get it now. I might not love it but at least I think I know why now. I'm sure there are wavetables I could plug in that make me love it. That's another project.

Good wavetables are an art of their own.
The original ones by Waldorf (in their Wave/Microwave boxes) have been used in a lot of synths with great results.

Of course, my opinion will be moot once the Fabfilters keep rolling out.

Not too sure about that, never found anything (feature) within FFs that does this, or at least, so immediate, (wish there was).

I had/have to use Auria's chorus to get an easily adjustable stereo widening ability etc, but it not the same.

    Stereo Designer has something speacial!
Yeah could be achieved with other techniques/app/delays (create a couple presets in Timeless 2, cpu) etc with some messing around, but “SD” just has this effect/sound, it’s immediate.

The nearest thing I have found to that sort wow-ing effect, is the “Widen” button on Synth One, (mono to stereo). Would Love to try that on some other material, such as a drum Loop etc..

Stereo Designer is so good I (may) redownload and reconnect with the developer.

You guys might like Haaze for stereo fx.

Cheers very much for the recommendation!

Had Haaze on my system, but couldn't get that "Stereo Designer" quality/spread, although it was/is a pretty close second, (along with zMors) and it is au too.

Agreed...Strereo Designer is more cleaner (UI) and easier to understand , and implied stereo spread is better than Haaze

However given the stereo tools in AUM ( mid and side and listening in mono to hear phase effects) , i don't use both SD and Haaze anymore

For Haas effect even kosmonaut can get job done

    Absolutely.
They provide great results at really good prices.
    Holderness alone:
    Johnny is fantastic
Stereo Designer is the best of its kind
Crystalline with judicious use of blend
Echo Pad is criminally underrated . I use it often for designing specific panning patterns

    AUFX:
Space is my favorite "out there" reverb
Dub is great for subtle to "sounds from space"
    Limiter is essential

    However, they are all good.
