Sounds killer on 808 and Linns. Especially if you use the hi q pre filter and the lo q post filter. Combined with a little apeMatrix modulation and baby you got a stew goin!

Absolutely - this is REALLY fun in apeMatrix.

Sound like you got a stew goin!

More like a nice, thick porridge. ;)

  • Looking forward to trying this.

  • Meh... pass. Kinda already covered with all the Audio Damage stuff. And a few others. Nothing wrong with it though... just not for me.

  • Haven't read the whole thread, but now that it's been revealed, it is the best bitcrusher AU app in the appstore, perfect for sound design and sound shaping/molding.

I'll repeat here from the other thread that just turning up the saturation with no crushing on a DI guitar is pret-tay, pret-tay good. I used to use FuzzPlus 3 for my DI distorted guitar needs, but this sounds better to me and gets better sustain without excess noise.

You're a regular beta-tester for this dev correct? So you've already used this quite a bit? Doug's video didn't really sell me on it to be honest.

And, I'm kind of partial to https://k-devices.com/products/ios-shaper/ for sound designy shaping/molding stuff. It's also AUv3 and Universal. Rock solid too. If you have Shaper... how does this one compare?

I gotta say it sounds really good. The control set is great and simple, and the pre/post low-pass is a nice touch. The filter sweeps you can get will be a nice useful effect for some. Seems not possible to save presets though, even though there are 25 or so that come with it.

I just saved a user preset and recalled it without any problems.

Degrader is my favorite Klevgrand app yet. This sound is really up my alley. It has the warmth of a cassette and sounds tasteful even on more unhinged settings. It sounds great on every synth and drum app I’ve tried it on so far.

  • This sounds surprisingly good.

  • Degrader is ridiculously useful. The presets reveal it as a very versatile army knife.

Degrader + GoToEQ in conjunction blur the lines between effects and an incredible Mastering combination.

  • Picked this up for both Mac and iOS. Also got Brusfri Mac 50 percent off

  • I got it.

    Really nice.

Honest though, I don' t feel I got a new toy, just a new nicer version of a couple I had.

Many of these apps in last couple months.

I paid the $8 and am happy.

Tines sounded like a champ with this fx.

I HOPE DEVELOPERS START LOOKING AT THE APP COUNT OF INSTRUMENTS VS EFFECTS.

I am honestly at the saturation point of having my Fx needs met at this point.

To be really honest, I rathered the Sugar Bytes apps BEFORE AU.

Egoist is a pain now. Sound quality is shit to me lately.

And I hate not having XY for Turnado. I don't feel like setting up another controller app.

    That's just me.

Interesting that you say that about Turnado as I find it's infinitely more useful as an AUv3, especially when teamed up with apeMatrix's LFOs. Different tastes or applications, though, require different functionality however so I can see why you'd be frustrated.

    So kidding aside.

Here is the result for my workflow.

I grabbed a wireless Akai controller LPDA...and use the 8 knob for Turnado in AUM.

    I have been digging that.

I make one bus a Turnado bus that is muted unless engaged for drops or transitions.
