Yeah, this doesn't look like an either/or scenario to me. I fire up Bram's Ruis-ez when I just want to "get on with it" and am never disappointed. I fire up eg. Elastic Drums for when I want to get into the weeds. I see Drambo as more into-the-weeds. The deep weeds.
I was joking about the race thing...
I dig.
Basic standalone mode working now. Just for tinkering though.. no MIDI or Link. Load it up in a host of you want to use it with other apps or more complex setups.
Looking forward to this. You make wonderful apps Mr Brambos, thank you.
For those curious: I was just running 6 parallel instances in AUM on my iPad Air2 (iOS11, 256 frame buffer), and it was peaking < 50%.
So it should be plenty usable on older hardware, as long as it runs iOS10+.
Really looking forward to this too
Now THAT is a bonus. My lunchtime ipad will handle it too! Weeeee ....
DATE?
@RUST( i )K
This is what Bram said on 10/29 re: the date ...
"I can't say... depends on what I run into. I have some chunks of work left to do... preset management, testing, manual writing, etc. And I still need to decide how much time (if any) I want to waste on a standalone mode.
It's coming along nicely, but it could be anywhere from 4 weeks to over 2 months."
@brambos You do realize you're killing us all very slowly with this?
You must be enjoying the hell out of torturing this crowd. Well done.
I’m really looking forward to this and Drambo dropping. That’s all.
Hi Mr Brambos, big big big feature request here: Could you please add a few step sequencer layers on top of the pitch sequencer in all of your fantastic apps that we could assign to parameters of our choice, that would be over the top notches.
Please please please!
Elektron would bite dust seriously
Another bit of tinkering with presets
Woo that sounds great! Need it:
Here is my Pre-Release Demo, this one uses Cubasis instead of AUM just for a bit variety. And to show how easy it is to record multiple sequences.

I need to sample you saying "Noir"
This is wonderful that @brambos is putting the sequencer within the app, as this leaves the midi fx slot in Cubasis free for the Rozeta LFO, which will be a must IMO twinned with this app. I would love to see the other apps gain there stand alone sequencers too if possible. Can the sequencer be switched out though @thesoundtestroom ? So that we could use a midi device in the AU fx slot as an alternative?
You can combine both methods (or just leave the internal sequencer empty). The synth will respond to events coming from the internal sequencer and from external MIDI input.
But how can we in Cubasis route Rozeta AUv3 LFO to the Noir AUv3?
(As far as I know in the current Cubasis version this is a 'no-can-do').
Thanks. That sounds just the ticket
This will make a lovely combo with the other Ruismakers
I use each Ruismaker as a single voice, so can send the LFO to it by just finding what CC is needed to change that setting.
Am I the only who is somehow thinks Richard Devine comes to mind hearing the Noir doing its thing? Can’t wait for that monster to be released.
Brilliant! Another gem from @brambos . Thanks for the demo @thesoundtestroom
@Samu
Here's an example of Rozeta LFO modulating the FM amount in Noir (I see Fruitbat ninja'd me):
Look forward to this. Reckon it'll sound good through Kosmanaut too - which I pretty much always use for rhythmic stuff.
Thanks!
Let's hope we'll see plug-in/midi-track routing in a future version of Cubasis
(So we could for example put FAC Envolver on one track and send its midi CC to another track or plug-in in Cubasis).
Yeah it’s much needed now that BM3 is going to follow the Cubasis route. I can’t remember how Auria handles things so I’m going to download it again lol
