Yeah it’s much needed now that BM3 is going to follow the Cubasis route.

At least for the time being but one can hope that things might change back in due time...

Look forward to this. Reckon it'll sound good through Kosmanaut too - which I pretty much always use for rhythmic stuff.

Here's a slow jam with 4x Noir, Kosmonaut thrown in (and 2x @FredAntonCorvest Maxima for some added drama).

This thing fits so snugly into my workflow and the sort of music I'm making at the moment, it's ridiculous. I'd say it was going to be an instabuy, but that would be an understatement.

I will state a bias, as @brambos gave me one of his apps quite a while back. At the time I was not in such a good position and was really struggling financially as well as emotionally. Such a nice gesture really was meaningful at the time for myself, yet it really is that he just ‘gets it’ - by that I mean the whole package of his apps from design to ease of use are quite sublimely a perfect iOS fit.

That's nice of him. One of the members on here picked up on my situation a few weeks back, and said they'd buy a couple of my albums on Bandcamp so I could get an app I'd been lusting after. Some good folks on here.

Yeah this stuff works perfectly for me - particularly as I'm on an 'old' Air 2 which struggles with the bigger new synths. I like building things up in AUM as jams, and all this AU stuff is really good to play with.

I love it actually, it's a real pleasure, and has reignited my faith in the platform.

This is wonderful that @brambos is putting the sequencer within the app, as this leaves the midi fx slot in Cubasis free for the Rozeta LFO, which will be a must IMO twinned with this app. I would love to see the other apps gain there stand alone sequencers too if possible. Can the sequencer be switched out though @thesoundtestroom ? So that we could use a midi device in the AU fx slot as an alternative?

But how can we in Cubasis route Rozeta AUv3 LFO to the Noir AUv3?
(As far as I know in the current Cubasis version this is a 'no-can-do').

Can you load LFO's onto it's own track and use MIDI routing in Cubasis to do it ?

And if not, load lfo onto a track, record the midi output and then drag the recorded part onto the 'Noir' / other Synth of choice track

As far as I know there is no routing in Cubasis at this moment, but (as shown in the vids above) you can put them into a MIDI filter slot and use CC messages to modulate parameters.

  • Now this is what I like to see on a Friday! Very slick.

Ahh, I see..when you route midi from one track to another it goes to the AU Instrument on the track and not the MIDI FX loaded in the slot. This means that in Cubasis you can send the output of multiple MIDI FX to the Instrument by having them on separate tracks and changing the MIDI output on the cubasis track, but you cannot send the output from one MIDI FX to the input of another.

  • Is that slide sideways for velocity a brambos innovation? Quite clever regardless....

    And when does it drop?

  • I know it’s doubtful, but I would love to see a Brambos DAW utilising his app design ethos of less is more. Imagine just having all these wonderful little touches like the slide sideways for velocity all in a DAW designed for not just feature count, but for great work flow. A lot of work for one man, but I’d love to lock Brambos in a room with the devs that do AUM, AudioBus and ApeMatrix- then not let them, out until a DAW is produced lol

Yes, but would they get along?

    It's a lovely utopian idea.

Here is my Pre-Release Demo, this one uses Cubasis instead of AUM just for a bit variety. And to show how easy it is to record multiple sequences.

Yes. Hopefully in 2019 custom sequencers in the AUv3 will become a trend. It’s just so cool to work that way

  • Am I the only who is somehow thinking Richard Devine comes to mind hearing the Noir doing its thing? Can’t wait for that monster to be released.

Does this have a „racketing feature“ which will trigger really fast multiple times a step

I am thinking ‘Great! Now I can stop waiting for a working version of Axon 2! ‘

(Dang, did I really just write that?)
