  • Looking forward to drums and multiple tracks in Reason Compact, which I believe they strongly implied would be forthcoming, just a matter of time. Fingers crossed

  • My Christmas wish is that Waldorf port Largo to iOS.

Sample freakin import in the Playground app and DrumJam, and motherfreakin panning in the Samplr app, not to mention which ever freakin Patterning update includes sample slicers and multiple, simultaneous patterns !!!

That Audio Damage looper is the stuff--especially given that we will also get an AUv3 MIDI looper with Photon. Gonna be a huge 2019!

All's that left is, you know, writing songs :)

Indeed, there's the rub. But happy to report that the flurry of great new tools that arrived in 2018 spurred commensurate song production on my end. I'm optimistic that 2019 will continue the trend.

  • Gimme dat looper

  • What does ‘decoupled play and record heads’ mean in the ENSO details?

Audio Damage has a proven track record with me. I use most of their apps (all except Grind, Pumphouse, Axon) regularly. People grumble about the Axon midi never truly getting sorted, but I really don't care. The app's core functionality is there, even if it's fiddly. The only other issue I have with any of their apps is QuatroMod seems to alter the input signal in an unpleasant way. Even with the effect mix at 0, the signal tone and quality is noticeably different.

  • When’s the next groovebox type app come out? Surely someone must know something. Those are my bread and butter these days: make some loops, perform into AudioShare, then Grand Finale and/or one of the tape sim apps. Boom. Done. Simple.

  • What about that guy that was all over FB a while ago (here too I think) promoting his new app where you could draw squiggles to make Bebot like synth runs? I think it was going to be a Kickstarter or Go Fund Me funded app?

Couldn't you draw squiggles on Bebot to get those synth runs?

Yes. I wasn’t clear on the selling point of this new app. You could reverse the squiggles and flip them etc. but it did not sound very good to my ears IMO... YMMV...etc.

Yes. Or two piers on an unfinished cantilever bridge over the Firth of Forth.

That definitely doesn’t sound too good. Has echoes of fluxpad which I found to be unusable. Lol the point about drawing squiggles in bebot is spot on. If we’re to be moving our fingers about a touch screen, squiggling, swiping, etc. might as well be live recording on a surface like Bebot. Anything else is just a gimmick. You don’t get points for providing the ultimate Microsoft paint experience in a music app. Devs keep trying though. And almost all of the “paint your music” apps find their way to the bottom of the bargain bin. This concept needs to be abandoned. It honestly seems very few people like it.

I'm fascinated by the "give me more groovebox" request. This is just my two cents but I'm more tortured by the curse of choice than just about anything else on iOS. My goal is to master one groovebox and I don't think I've done that yet. Not even close. Of course, I'm slow and don't have the time I'd like to invest, etc. Still, I marvel at y'all who long for more groovebox apps!

KEW, GR-16. Would like to see Reason Compact become more. Personally I find these apps pretty easy to wrap the head around and from that point, make music quickly. Also there’s a fun factor

I am much happier investing in the joyous ‘give the people what they want’ Groovebox of GR-16 than the disappointing marketing tease that is Reason Compact. KEW looks great as well.

I don't use a lot of groovebox stuff, but I do love groovebox and kew, to me ns2 is kinda like a groove box, it teeters on the edge of a daw and gb , but mostly I stay with Aum and auv3 sessions, now that kb-1 exists I do a lot of live jamming, I love being able to control everything in one spot..
Modstep / AUM is my second go to when I want to create patterns and not play live.... Those and ab3 are really all the synth environments I need, ...
If groovebox let me send each channel to AUM or ab3 it would get a lot moor play, as I could use kb-1 to jam!

  • Improved AU scaling pleaseeee.
Some do it great, others I find better to just use as iaa.

  • I want izotope to enter the ios arena!

    Fabfilter put out more auv3s!

Garageband-more alchemy features and user patch import

    Gadget-linear sequencer

    Real Reason!

  • edited January 2019

More Fabfilter AU would be nice
Digital D1 Auv3 will rock the house
World class Drum Sampler AU still a pipe dream, but maybe Audio Kit AU will inspire someone.
