maybe it will be. we’ll soon know.
Freezing tracks definitely helps my songs that use a lot of gadgets run smoother.
I have an earlier 12.9 also that lasts all day (ish) with most things, but gets about 20 minutes (maybe not that much) just playing Salzburg. Irksome.
The heat gives you a warmer sound. :)
Montpellier eats battery like crazyyy
... not at all the case for me. I've never had any issues with battery drain or heat. And I use iMono/Montpellier in every Gadget project I do - often using several of them.
I always have mine also connected to a power source and even than the battery is lower after a gadget session. But I estimate that I have about six houres and I have never reached the point where the power went out.
When i connect my Arturia keylab via cc while running korg gadget, battery drains slowly but surely.
Are you referring to the desktop Gadgets when using them as audio units in a Daw?
(very VERY very heavy snore)
Do you use any external power supply?
Only cck and recharger
There are two CCKs, one with only one USB Port, and one with a USB port and an additional lightning socket that allows for simultanious use of USB and a power connection with a charger via a lightning cable. If you connect the keyboard with the simple USB it will work, but the keyboard will be powered by the battery of the iPad, which will drain the batteries together with the use of gadget. If you use the powered CCK you can also connect the keyboard and it will still get the power from the iPad battery. The best case is to use both the keyboard and the iPad each with its own power supply.
Oh, Never thought about powering the usb Keyboard with a external cable.
I use the cck with the additional lightning port to power it up while using it. Otherwise the keyboard wouldn’t work with my iPad Pro.

EDIT: Never mind. Someone posted on the KORG Gadget Page about an update to the KORG Collection, and not Gadget.
Can you try that with a long delay on it? 🤔
Exactly. The secretive behaviour is frustrating to say the least. Welp, at least I've rediscovered Beathawk after not playing with that for about a year. 😂
Spent my gadget update money on reggaedrummer, beathawk sale IAPs, LayR, annnd WoodLofier
they can take another month if they want now so I can restock funds haha,
WoodLofier is sick. Don’t blame u
They aren't being secretive or sketchy. If is always hard to know how long the final debugging will take. Much better for the software to be in good shape than for engineers to kill themselves and release buggy software to meet some projected release date (which is often the result of a marketing person's wishful thinking.)
I love Gadget. I think Korg nailed the fine balance between simplicity and complexity, also factoring in the Mac version interoperability.
All basic Gadgets sound very good, easy to use and to find sweet spots. But most of them are kind of one trick ponies. No offence to ponies or Gadgets.
Sometimes I want to dive a bit deeper. At the moment Montpellier is the most sophisticated Gadget, it's a very powerful subtractive synth and I love it.
Unfortunately gadgetized iM1 is quite underwhelming in terms of control, providing you with only some macros and a browser.
I'd buy in a heartbeat something similar in deep abilities for sampling, drum synthesis, probably FM.
And MS20 should satisfy the tweaking cravings for a bit as well.
I don't think anybody said "sketchy". I said "secretive", because it's not about rushing a buggy release but rather having more info about what's to come filled in for us. Things that are a mystery....
If the release is pushed to March (which wouldn't be the first time Korg said we'd have a major update to Gadget released in February only for it to be pushed to March), that's fine by me. I'd simply like to know more details regarding what's coming in the update.
Nooooo! No friday fun this weekend neither 😫
Was kinda banking on it being today, last Friday in Feb :(
Oh well
It's been incredible quiet around 'Gadget 2' so I do wonder if it's due this month or if it will turn out to be an 'April Fools' joke with a re-release of the current version on April 1st or something?! (Then again it might drop later today we never know for sure when it comes to Korg).
Friday isn't over yet...
Native Instruments dropped their free Komplete Start today so at least they are on the ball.
