The first component of my iVCS3 controller has arrived.
Would people who have this synth still recommend it many years later???
I’m working on some downtempo ambient dub, and think this thing could fit in the mix.
How are the presets and MIDI routing?
I just purchased it this morning because it is currently on offer. The sound is great. And plenty of AUv3 parameters to play with. You can route MIDI into the iVCS3, but although many of the synths modules are accessible as individual plugins, sadly this does not apply to the sequencer. So there is only MIDI in.
Initially I had problems with finding the AUv3 plugins on different hosts. Apesoft would have done better with using a consistent naming convention. They can be difficult to find on hosts that do not sort the plugins by manufacturer, but just alphabetically (hello Drambo!). Best to browse and look for the VCS3 icon in these cases.
I went ahead and grabbed it and the IAP for modulation. And you are right, it was not easy to find and load in AUM lol i loaded everything else first
It’s literally the best iOS synth in my humble opinion.
Its awesome! I love having a different approach to synths than just the standardized way of patching. It sounds so good and analog, and can get wild with the routing
I always just use the search box. Typing just "vc" is enough to list them all.
And that was my problem, I typed ivc and only got the sub-collection 🙀
